As far as run blocking is concerned, I like WVU's Owen Schmitt, Arkansas' Peyton Hillis. GT's Mike Cox, and Cinci's Doung Jones.
Jones is pretty one dimensional, he is like a guard playing in the backfield. But he is a great run blocker who is very strong.
Schmitt is my favorite FB period, he is a freak. He is one of the strongest players in college football and is very nasty. He has paved the way for a very productive running attack the last few years.
Mike Cox is a great athlete who offers a lot as a FB but is primarily a blocker and is very good at it.
Peyton Hillis from Arkansas is a great FB and should be a very good NFL fullback. He proved he is a great blocker this season as well as the last few years, leading the way for guys like D-Mac and Felix Jones. He is the most athletic of the 4 I mentioned, he is Arkansas' punt returner and can run the ball as well as catch it very well.
As far as run blocking I would rank them like this.
Schmitt I would agree on, not as convinced on Hillis as one of the top guys since he seems more of versatile and often, like when Arkansas ran the Wildhog formation, there was no lead blocker. I'm not saying he can't do it, just that if I wanted a run-blocker he'd come after Schmitt. Chris Alexander from TAMU is pretty good, too.
