well if you mean out of everything, it was the giants beating the patriots in the superbowl to spoil perfection. But if your talking draft, I'd say that it was Merling being picked at #32, very good for the Dolphins.
No WR going in round 1. The 1st time in I don't know how many years that has happened. Obviously the pro scouts and GM's knew a lot more than the rest of us on the quality of of this year's WR crop.
I think with the drop of all the WR's, it soon became apparent that this year's draft was pretty weak after the 8th pick. Rounds 1 and 2 turned out to be rather mediocre hence the rush by a lot of the top teams to trade down for more lower picks. They obviouisly felt they had a pretty good shot at finding a decent prospect in rounds 3-5 then they did in round 2. That's why their were a record amount of trades, that almost always occurs in a weak draft year.
