  • DT Linval Joseph

Big guy who looks like a prototypical 4-3 NT at 6'6 322lbs

Was very productive this year with 60 tackles and 13 TFL

Where does he project and how good is he?

His size probably get's him drafted higher than his talent would. Mid 4th.

I think that he would make a great 3-4 DE. He has the size, length and athletecism to and he definatly has the strength. I think that he will be a very good NFL player and i think he goes in the 3rd.

Joseph has very good athleticism for a 6'6", 322 pound d-tackle. He sometimes lined up at DE on passing downs, beating slower college OTs around the edge.

He's not as stout at the point as you'd expect from a guy his size, but his bull rush shows he's got a lot of raw power. To be successful, he'll need a good DL coach who can refine his game. And he'll need to stay healthy & focused: he had some serious back issues in 2008. Before that, he was a whopping 371 lbs.

He could play 3-4 end for a team that likes their five techs to be especially big. Romeo Crennel seemed to like 'em that way in Cleveland; based on what I've seen of Joseph, he fits the profile.

I remember watching this kid as a freshman and he was 360 pounds plus and being somewhat impressed at his movement.

He's only a junior. Did he declare early for the draft?

39 reps on the bench press yesterday. that's impressive.

He is also 6'4...I wonder if that will help his stock?

i thought that he was 6'6, not that it makes that much of a difference.

                    nope, you're right. he's 6'4.

i think that he has a shot at being this year's terrence knighton.

I've watched just one game of ECU this last year, to watch CJ Wilson, and came away impressed by Joseph. I mean Joseph just popped out of the screen at me. I want the Lions to draft him but I feel that he may be a low 2 and high 3rd pick.

I thought the lions needed a pass rushing DT?
