  • Best ILB in pass coverage?

I've read Nate Irving is pretty good, any other ideas?

If Herzelich gets moved inside he will be a good coverage ILB.

Just about to say the same. Not as fluid as he used to be, but put him in an NFL S&C program for a year and he'll be Urlacher 2.0 (in coverage).

      He'd be perfect in a T2ish system.

Herzlich is one guy to bring up here as mentioned. Very good at covering tight ends in man, very good in zone.

Like Lowlife said, he isn't the same covering and the Senior Bowl showed that, does he recover enough to gain that mobility back, Im not sure.

I think Casey matthews and Colin McCarthey can make good cover 2 LB's whom is instinctive enough and can cover the middle back end

Irving actually has fairly average hips and athletics, the reason he is good in coverage is the fact that he is very good at reading and diagnosing plays. He will be a solid pro no doubt.

Any Safeties that can possibly make the transition to MLB ala Urlacher?
