Shame. He'd be the #1 guy if he could have stayed healthy
Not at all. From the day Masoli stepped on campus, it was only a matter of time before he won the job outright. If Costa had stayed healthy, Roper would never have seen the field. People forget that Roper was a 5th stringer in '07 and only won the job in '08 because he was the only guy that knew the offense well enough to step in for Costa. The guy is a good QB, but it wasn't injuries that prevented him from being the #1.
Maybe K-State gets two receivers with Harper and Smith both wanting to go closer to home home. I honestly forgot about Harper, I remember there was some mutual interest between Ole Miss and Harper but it kind of fell off. I thought he was a K-State lock then I saw him Sign with Oregon. The kid is definitely an athlete, thats for sure.

Harper won't be a receiver. That's the whole point of him leaving Oregon.

Yeah he was an athlete out of HS on rivals but he played QB right? K-State wanted him as a QB, I thought Oregon did too. He's a talented dude I'd like to see him stick somewhere and get a shot.
