What if all "3" Florida schools were in the SEC starting now?

Would the "Big 3" kill the nation in recruiting? Because it seems like Florida is one of the prime locations a player wants to play (Yea, I know of their great success). And being able to play in the SEC, you know you'll get plenty of attention.

I'm Just Wondering What You Guys Think. Because I think these three schools would. Especially the *** Gators with their Heisman winner.

They both have top 10 recruiting classes at the moment. Both had top 5 before Miami commit CB Patrick Johnson pulled out. I would say that is pretty good for teams having bad recent years.

Eh? Since 2002, between the two of them, they've been outside of the top 20 recruiting classes twice (21 both times), and outside of the top 10 recruiting classes 4 times combined. In that same time span, they've also had 7 top five recruiting classes. They certainly aren't recruiting powerhouses rigth now.

Miami's downfall was due to bad recruiting. Failing to keep local kids at Miami was what cause Larry Coker to get fired and what caused the downslide of Miami. Coker tried to recruit nationally and it didn't pan out for us. Randy Shannon is changing that philosophy. Does anyone really think Miami is not gonna get this turned around and be at the top of the ACC year in and year out with all the talented players in Florida HS football?

There's a difference between scouting and the ability to recruit. FSU and Miami are great at recruiting who they want. It's just that either the coaching or the players have failed.

FSU can still recruit. As can Miami.

Florida State's problem has been recruiting guys with bad character and coaching. Players like Callahan Bright, Fred Rouse, Nicholson, ect. The coaching however, was horrendous the past seven years. Daryl Dickey, Mark McHale, Billy Sexton, were all terrible at developing players. Now we've assembled a coaching staff who will hopefully bring back the swagger we used to have. I don't think we will repeat the "glory years" we had, but we could be close in the next year or two.

FSU and Miami have 6th and 8th classes in the country right now according to Rivals. So they can recruit without the SEC slug.
