They are not forcing it on people. Japan is actually intrigued by football, they have their own league like CFL.

Its just a way to compare youth talent, I'm guessing.

Don't sleep on Canada. I'm telling you ..

These other countries are in the infant stages of their respective programs, so nothing to boast about. It's pretty much been a two-team tourney in its short existence IIRC.

I think they should have a Samoan team. You look at the Samoan players in the league and the talent is ridiculous. They already play HS ball there. Tonga and Fiji should be introduced into Football as well. Tongans are also successful in the league. Fiji I think would be an interesting country to introduce it to. Their rugby team has 6'5"-6'6" players running like leopards.

I can only assume they intentionally injured Eyeshield 21 before the game. :p

"Joining host nation the United States as an automatic qualifier will be Canada. The Canadians will hold the No. 1 seed with the U.S. claiming the No. 2 seed.

"We felt that Canada's exceptional record in international junior competition during recent years warranted the top seed," Wiking added. "The United States is recognized as the home of the sport and is expected to be a strong contender for the championship."

Canada's junior national team has consistently impressed on an international platform by winning the past three NFL Global Junior Championships, held during Super Bowl week from 1997 to 2007. They were also crowned champions in 2000."

Ignorant, cocky Americans. History doesn't lie....don't sleep on Canada.

I'm pretty sure Riley Skinner was on the US team that lost in the most recent tournament to Canada. It was a close, low-scoring game IIRC.

I think attempting to make football global is great idea. I didn't even know that Mexicans or French people knew how to play football.
