I know the end result (win/loss) matters most, but it surprises me how little these polls take into consideration how well a team plays. Iowa barely beat Northern Iowa and needed two blocked field goals in order to pull off a one point win. In the coaches poll, Iowa dropped from #21 to #28. Yet, if Northern Iowa makes one of the field goals, they probably drop out of the top 50. Is one blocked field goal worth that many spots in a ranking?

I wonder if Tennessee can crack the bottom of the top 25 if we beat UCLA by a few scores.

Firstly, wake me up when BYU leads the nation in drafted players since 2002 or wins 4 big ten titles in a row. Secondly, rank OSU outside of the top 25 for all I care, whoever wins the USC/OSU game this saturday is gonna be #3 in the polls.

Wait, so number of players drafted into the NFL from 2002-2008 has an effect on how good a team is in 2009?

This post is so full of fail I don't know where to begin..

                              1) Leading the nation in drafted players is nice. But it doesn't win you ball games as those players are gone.

                              2) BYU can't win 4 big ten titles because.. well, we're not in the Big 10!

                              3) IMO, Ohio State is gonna get bombed on by USC.

So I guess you can stay asleep young lad
