All about the money. By having the highest paid coach in college, it is costing them more. And the Big Ten TV revenue is a lot more than the Big 12 contract.

I know it is but it's still just a move that many fans wouldn't like. I could see it happening though.

        • Truth. They couldn't play AM, Tech, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. every year. I guess they could schedule AM and OU permanently like Michigan and USC does with Notre Dame, but it would still be weird.

Also, I don't care what the reason. Any team that has scum like Mark D'Antonio as their HC has no room to call Michigan scUM.
Drew Sharp is the slim of the earth he's been doing the same thing to MSU for years.

You can't be serious about Dantonio. He is probably the most down to earth and family oriented coach in Michigan. And by the way scUM is still being investigated on the workout ordeal. So don't act like Michigan is the victim in that case. Dick Rod had problems at West Virginia and now at Michigan. You tell me,other than giving a kid a second chance, what Dantonio has done that was wroing.

Rodriguez doesn't work for Florida so he can only go off of what his player told him.
Dick Rod said in his post signing interview that they did a full investigation on Dorsey and he was clean on all counts. Then when questioned later on about Dorsey he got defensive and wouldn't answer any more questions. Dick Rod is a liar. And has no integrity.

Hey I come on this board and all I hear is how MSU is a bunch of thugs. I bring facts to these idots and point out that Michigan is worse in a lot of ways. And I get jumped on. So all I'm doing is making sure these idiots don't get the upper hand and maybe they'll think twice before they blow BS out their a$$. Bring me facts and I'll shut up. But all they can do is talk trash without facts and then think they won. Not happening while I'm here. They shut up and I will to. Trust me I have a lot of other positive points to make about the Big Ten. But not until some so called educated people write something with facts and not emotion. Everything I posted has been true and I could bring up a lot more about Dick Rod and his history as a coach. At least Bo had some integrity. And although I dislike Michigan I could respect him as a coach and a mentor. Dick Rod has none of those qualities and he will be the down fall of the Michigan program.

                  • In order to bring peace to this hostile environment, let us all rejoice around the greatest play of Big XI football during the decade:

(note: either turn down your volume or put on mute because the noise sucks)

That's right everyone, that is a **** you safety.

In 2004, up 6-2 (yep, two field goals to one safety) late in the 4th quarter, Iowa decided to take a safety and give the ball back to PSU. Both offenses were so horrible that game that Ferentz felt confident going up only 2 pts and giving PSU the ball and a chance to win late.

Long live the **** You Safety.

                    • Thank you for reminding me of that epic game.

                      • That game made me want to kill myself. Ugh.

                        • As I was not a fan yet at the time, I did not get to enjoy the awesomeness of how greatly executed of a game that was, especially on offense. I mean, when 2 field goals nets you top scorer, you know it was epic.

But seriously, the **** you safety is so rare that it's awesome. Sure, you see a team take a safety like that when they are up like 11 points or 6 points, where the other team needs more than a TD/FG. But you never see a team give the opposition 2 points and the ball late in the game where a FG will win it.

I would say it's my favorite ever play in a Big XI game, but Sniper probably knows what play that is. Hint: It was more awesome than when he turned water into wine.

Not really new at all. I'm surprised at the number of people who haven't heard of Texas as an option before.

Actually, his contract is paid for by the revenue they generate through the football program, so not really. You're right about money being important though. I highly doubt it happens, but we'll see. As for the rivalries, they could still play Oklahoma every year. Texas would kill the Big Ten in baseball every year though.

I don't think it'd make sense to take from the Big East though, at least for the Big East. They're so weak as is, at least in football.

It doesn't matter what happens to the Big East. For all the Big 10 cares the Big East can fold after they pluck a team or two.
