Excellent draft for the 49ers, especially where they are likely to lose Lawson this offseason.

Wisniewski would make more sense in the 2nd, fills bigger need and we just hired his uncle as an assistant.

In the 3rd we could go OLB like Casey Matthews. We looked at him according to reports at the Senior Bowl and could be a big contributer at WLB and maybe special teams

Wiz and Matthews does sound better than Carter/Hudson.

Making a three round mock allowed me to realize the potential the Patriots have to rape the NFL for the next couple of years. Though I'm sure they will trade a couple of those picks for future ones . Maybe this is the year they use some picks to move up.

Solder? At #12? To a team with a long-time solid LT and improving 2nd round RT who's a 2-year pro?

I don't think very highly of McKinnie or Loadholt. Jeff Backus>Bryant McKinnie. Also, Gabbert and Newton are gone. Who else would you want? I feel dirty even putting Locker mid first round.

Backus > McKinnie is silly, but it's Lions fan vs. Vikings fan, so no point arguing it I guess...

As long as you're going to put Locker #15, why not #12?

If we didn't go QB, Ryan Kerrigan, Aldon Smith, or Akeem Ayers. Huge hole at LE with Ray Edwards leaving, and no plan for our open OLB spot with the fast-declining Ben Leber leaving this offseason. Those are better players and fill bigger needs.

Well, I guess all I can say as a Lion fan is that I do hope the Vikings move forward with McKinnie and Loadholt.

Not a fan of Locker to Miami.

Ingram would be my preferred pick in the 1st, and in the 3rd, Kaepernick. I think Henne will be given one more crack with a new OC, just to see wether or not he has the ability to be a full time starter.

I will do a happy dance if we can get Stephen Paea in the 2nd. Jimmy Smith is also awesome.

Ingram is a good value but the Patriots had the number nine rushing offense in the NFL last year. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is only going to be 26 by the start of next season and is coming off of a breakout year in which he had over 1000 yards at 4.4 yards per carry while scoring 13 touchdowns and not fumbling. Combine that with Danny Woodhead's simultaneous coming-out party last year and the Patriots will probably wait for a running back until the middle rounds and/or sign a mid-level guy in free agency. I'm actually shocked at how realistic the rest of the draft is for them, but I'd be hoping for Stefen Wisniewski there (just seems like a Patriot, rumor is they've targeted Pouncey and Wood in the first round before, nad d. That way, you'd hit on every single Patriots need with good fits. +rep for one of the best drafts I've seen on here.

While not ideal, I could live with those Phins picks.

Smith - Can't say I'm a huge fan, but would have to trust the powers that be if this was the choice. OT of the future is definitely a need and he fits the ZBS. Hopefully he'd be able to be a backup while he adds strength and weight and not forced to start prematurely.

Beal - People are down on him after the Senior Bowl but most of the negative feedback was when he was doing the DE drills. When he switched to LB later in the week, it sounded like he looked much better. He weighed in a 268 at the Senior Bowl. If his future is a OLB he should probably drop 10-15 lbs and get quicker. His consistent production at OU and intangibles can't be denied.

Vereen - Would be a nice addition to the backfield and has KR ability. Would provide more explosiveness than B.Jackson on third down.

Overall I would be pretty happy if it went this way.
