Thanks for starting this, I've been lagging.

We'll see how voting for this goes. If it lags after the top 5 again, we'll make the voting period for spots 5-10 last 24 hours. They finish how they finish.

      Mean Joe Greene (1)

10x pro bowl selection, 5 x first team all pro, 4x SB Champion, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, member of NFL 75th anniversary team, 2x NFL Defensive Player of the Year and a member of the pro football Hall of Fame.

Was the main cog in the infamous Steel Curtain of the 1970s and was the innovator the DT stunt. Greene at times wasn't blockable with double or even triple teams. Because of Greenes dominance up front it helped pave the way for then teammate Tony Dungy to innovate the Tampa 2 where all pressure came from the front 4 and allowed more players to drop into coverage.

This is a tough one for me to decide...Alan Page or Joe Greene?

Joe Greene (3) is pretty self-explanatory.

Joe Green, as much as I want to go with Alan Page, Mean Joe has to be number 1.

I remember everyone thinking Noll was stupid for picking Joe Greene in the first round that year.

                          Joe Greene for me.
