well there is a big big difference between 3-4 and 2-5, especially in the AFC West. Time to win a game

Todd Bouman! I miss that guy. He played D-II in my hometown at Saint Cloud State University. He tore D-II a new asshole.

Indy is going to make the playoffs. People are surprised that they already have two losses, but they are still the Colts. And it's not like they aren't in decent shape right now at 4-2. Peyton's spoiled us with all the undefeated starts - anything less than 11 wins would be a huge shock to me.

To me the AFC has 5 teams that I'd be surprised if they missed the playoffs...

        NYJ
        BAL
        PIT
        NE
        IND

which means it's going to be an extremely difficult uphill battle for HOU, TEN, CIN, and MIA.

The AFC West teams have it a lot easier because they only have to worry about each other. 9-7 will probably win that division.

          try 7-9, it could happen.

even if a 7-9 KC team wins the division, I guarantee no team wants to come play in Arrowhead in January!

I am pretty sure no-one wants to go to Kansas City at any time of year.

I would take Tennessee and Miami over Indy right now with the injuries and overall craptasticness of their defense. If they can tread water with Manning playing like Superman until they get some guys healthy, they have a chance, but it will definitely be as a wildcard I feel. Tennessee is the ultimate anti-Colts right now. Run the ball and play bend-but-don't-break defense to at least slow down Manning while you abuse his defense.

                    It's going to be ugly.
The Chiefs are the one team I'd expect Edwards not to be afraid of. I don't care if the Chiefs are better now than they were two years ago, the last time he played them he had the best game of his career, 24/32 - 280 yards - 2 touchdowns and he ran for another 40 yards and 2 touchdowns. If theres any team I'd expect Edwards to show any semblance of confidence against it might be the Chiefs.

The Chiefs aren't only better, but they're entirely different. Moved to a 3-4, have a Superbowl winning defensive coordinator, have some guys who've really developed into much better players than they were then....

I'd be surprised if Indy doesn't win the division as long as Manning stays healthy. I mean honestly, it's been 10 years now and not once has it mattered who he has thrown it at, Harrison, Wayne, Stokely, Clark, Garcon or Collie, every one of them has looked like a star with a certain guy throwing it, Harrison declined, things kept rolling, Stokely left and became crap and things kept rolling.

On top of that, I'm just not sold on any of the other teams that much. Titans look average running the ball, they look better passing right now which should say it all about their offense, their defense looks great though. Jacksonville are a joke. Houston are interesting, could be anything but I also wouldn't back them over the Colts.

Manning just inspires confidence in the regular season.

Props to BK on the sig!

That's why the following Monday Night game, after this week against the Texans is going to be huge... the Colts already lost to them in Week 1, they can't afford to lose that game because of the tie-breaking implications down the road.

Regardless, Edwards' best game of his career was at arrowhead.

That reminds me though, it was the week after the Bills lost by a FG to the Browns on Monday night where Edwards had probably the worst game of his career and was the first game he was literally captain check down. He had 16 completions, 10 of them were to Lynch. Of course this happened after he threw 3 picks in the first quarter... That game was actually really fun to be at despite the loss...

I remember when Edwards wasn't garbage... it makes me cry...

It's going to be a test of Peyton Manning. If there's anybody that can work with an offense that, if QBed by seemingly ANYONE else, would be called by many to be one of the league's worst, it's Peyton.

But he can't play defense for them. Freeney and Mathis are ALL they have on that side of the ball....everyone else was just getting blocked into oblivion and missing tackles in a hilarious (for non-Colts fans) fashion. Ryan Torrain looked like Adrian Peterson bouncing off of every tackle, never going down to first contact.

And you can't say that it's that big of surprise....they've gotten overachieving performances to keep that defense at least average over the past decade or so. Freeney is the only regular starter drafted in the first round. Simple lack of talent was going to catch up eventually when push came to shove, and it finally has.

Pat Ramsey played really well all off season and into the preseason. I think he'll fill in admirably, he only got cut because we only carry 2 QBs, and chase Daniel is the future as our backup, and played really well as well.
