Apparently brash & bold are only acceptable when you're a fat guy named Rex with a roster full of talent.

Dallas sucks because their head coach, GM, talent evaluator, and owner all sit in a suit in a press box. The rest of the people on the field are just players or puppets.

It's the same reason why the next Dallas Cowboys head coach will be a mid-level coaching prospect instead of a good one.

Morris wasn't the best last year, but he's doing a solid job this year and he's better than the coaches I mentioned.

Any coach who is .500 or better is a better coach than average, except Jim Caldwell.

Not with Kitna at QB. Although with the Cowboys at this very low point of their season a "rally" would be putting 2-3 more wins together. Still drafting top 5, unavoidable humiliation for Jones in his interview on draft day.

I really don't see the harm in starting McGee to see what you have. At least get some live game reps to see what he has.....young QBs have been tossed out there in far worse situations. If he plays even respectably, you at least know you have a decent backup for the future, which Kitna is not. If he sucks, then at least you know it and can find a new backup after the season.

You wanna take a stab at just how many head coaches in the NFL are just head coaches, who don't have GM-like power?

Jerry has shown that he is willing to allow the HC get involved in personnel decisions. He has shown that he will draft guys who the HC wants. He has shown that if the HC wants a certain player in FA, that he'll go after him and spend BIG bucks. Jerry is about as supportive a GM as there is out there. He stepped up and has taken on the blame for this year. He's openly said that. But when things go well, he wants to be apart of the reason why they succeeded to. It's natural.

                        Jerry definitely can't win.

He gets lambasted for keeping Wade while other owners get lambasted for not sticking with a coach and doing the coaching carousel thing.

I didn't read the whole thread and don't plan to but I have never been a fan of letting your HC go midseason, a NFL season is to short and it doesn't really solve anything.

Garrett is coaching for his life...he obviously would like the best players on the field. That's why Wade and crew werent playing a lot of our younger guys...it's not like they have job security. And Kitna is much better than Mcgee.

They'll probably still be comfortable enough with Mcgee as one of the backups next year. He's still not the future of this team...it's not like he's ever going to take over for Romo. His seeing the field this year isn't that paramount. Factor in, the pride factor of Jerry Jones and our horrible O-Line. It's not that necessary.

It may happen...but I dont really care either way. He's nothing special.

The Cowboys have totally quit on Wade. They needed a new face to coach the team even if it really won't solve their problems this year.

So McGee is also worthless eh?
