I'm tired of watching the NFC East and NFC North. It seems like there are at least two televised games every week from those divisions. The Friggin NFC East is always in the 4:00 EST time slot. Then either another NFC East team or NFC North team is on Monday, Sunday, or Tuesday nights.. ***
Give me some NFC West or NFC South if I have to watch the friggin NFC

Shout out to kalbears13. Best DC sig'er EVER!!!

Better beat Cleveland. Simply cannot lose to them 2 years in a row.

And we need the bye for injuries. Desperately. If Smith and Polamalu can come back healthy I like our chances a lot more in the playoffs.

I've been slacking. But the Steelers NEED to win. No excuse if they don't.

David Garrard will miss Regular Season Finale.

Big blow for the Jags, although I can see a motivated Trent Edwards play well.

Dammit...I wish I could argue against this. Even if we were to keep our starters in, they probably wouldn't play with much heart if they know there's nothing to play for.

I'd ******* LOVE to knock the Packers out of the playoffs and to shut up the most annoying fanbase on this message board for another year. (Prince excluded.)

But we'll probably sleep walk into the game and rest people.......alas. Premature contrats on your #6 seed preseason paper champion Packers.

Why did the Broncos get rid of Mike Nolan last year? Seems to have turned Cameron Wake into a beast like Doom last year.
Sam Bradford will be a bust- 2/24/2010

Not happening. Bilichick will probably give them at least a few snaps in the third. Two weeks off for this team would just be too much given how we have a bunch of guys who thrive on work and repetition. Doubt we practice hard or gameplan much this week and they'll be an emphasis placed on getting healthy, but I doubt we full on sit them.

I think Nolan forced his way out. Probably clashed too much with McD.

I still believe in Nolan as a coach. Wherever he goes, nice things tend to happen on defense. I'm willing to bet he gets another go around as a head coach before it's all said and done.

The 49ers gave him too much power too quickly. He went from a coordinator with no head coaching or management experience to being handed all the keys in San Fran.

If he can continue to develop stud defenders, I too think he'll get another shot. But I think it should be on a team with a pretty powerful GM to handle the personnel side of things and just let Nolan coach.

I think the problem with a lot of teams nowadays is that they're all trying to find the next Bill Belichick.

They hire a young man and give him total control, many of the time the guy will have very little or no co-ordinator experience and let them bring in their own staff in. The problem being that because they've handed them so much power they're expected to come up with results pretty quickly and end up getting the boot after a couple of seasons, long before they've even really established themselves.

                                They still haunt my nightmares....

But to your main point, I agree that teams are trying too hard to find the next young, great coach. They turn over full control to a coordinator or position coach who's never had to coach a whole team or make personnel decisions before and expect him to start hot right out of the gate.

McD is a perfect example of this...he gutted Denver's roster of talented players who simply didn't fit what he wanted, and then went on to draft really, really poorly. The plays might have been better fits, but he just didn't have the "eye for talent" that a more seasoned coach would have.
