Joe Namath is in there with one Superbowl ring and stats that most QBs beat in a couple solid seasons...

    He is the Anti-HOF-establishment.

His average numbers are close to Derek Anderson or JaMarcus Russell.

He got in because of "the guarantee."

Agree, all 3 & maybe some Jamal Williams & Aubrayo Franklin love if they stay healthy & enjoy long careers.

I think it will just take awhile for voters to realize how important a position it is now. Same with safeties. Eventually the flood gates will open on positions like that.

The only guys in the league right now playing DT with a shot are Kevin Williams and Richard Seymour.

                  Richard Seymour
                  3x Super Bowl
                  6x Pro-Bowl
                  3x 1st Team All-Pro
                  1x 2nd Team All-Pro
                  5x All-AFC Selection
                  2000s All-Decade 1st Team

                  Kevin Williams
                  6x Pro-Bowl
                  5x 1st Team All-Pro
                  4x All-NFC Selection
                  2000s All-Decade 2nd Team

I really wish Kris Jenkins could get in, but I know he can't. He's an absolute monster on the field but had more injuries then half the Packers roster.

If it was other players injured that frequently, I wouldn't want him to be on the roster come next season. But with Jenkins, as long as he wants to come back, I want the Jets to bring him back.

                      No Casey Hampton?

Seymore is not a NT, he played more of DT/DE. Vince Wilfork is the NT.

See this is how you get in, make stupid bold prediction get in HOF. People forget the other guys on the team who actually did something that game. (I learned about it today)

                          actual true NT
                          Casey Hampton
                          5 pro bowls
                          2 super bowls

I know neither are really NT's, Kevin Williams has played some of it in Minnesota (after he switched from DE as a rookie and played more this year than any year since Pat Williams came over from the Bills), and Seymour isn't either, but my point was kind of that I don't think any true NT's deserve the hall right now. I could see Wilfork in the future, and Hampton has a solid chance with 5 pro-bowls and 2 rings (could be 3 on Sunday). I can see Hampton getting in ahead of a few more deserving players because he played for the Steelers I guess...
