  • Moss to NE

Adam Schefter on NFL live just said the Pats have the uperhand in the Moss sweepstakes, apparently the Pats have offered a conditional 4th round pick for Moss who really wants to go to NE and will only restructure for NE but the raiders still want a day one pick. Negotiations ongoing, all the Pats would have to do is offer a 3rd and Moss would likely be a Patriot. They should offer a 2008 3rd rounder.

i honestly think this has more to do with Moss, i think he wants a ring and is lobbying to go to NE. The pats would probably cut Caldwell and Gaffney.

If it is a "conditional 4th rounder" then that would mean it is a 2008 pick, so I say DO IT, and DO IT NOW.

And the Pats would cut Kelley Washington before they cut Gaffney or Caldwell...

I agree. If it's a conditional 4th, we really don't have much to loose. Man. This would be great.
Although I skeptical without a link.
                        EDIT: Just found this.

Nothing that strong. And it says they want more than a conditional 4th.

So, let me get this straight. After this they would have:

                            WR-Randy Moss
                            WR-Donte Stallworth
                            WR-Wes Welker
                            WR-Kelley Washington
                            WR-Troy Brown
                            WR-Chad Jackson
                            WR-Reche Caldwell
                            WR-Jabar Gaffney

                            That's 8 WR's!!!!! Damn them Pats!!

Brown and Washington would probably be gone, as would Caldwell or Gaffney (I'd rather keep Gaffney).

That would certainly be a nice problem to have. :)
