  • Meh, I'd rather have Mattison gone and keep Cameron than get rid of Cameron and keep Mattison.

I can live with Cameron, honestly, I think it was more of the Patriots playing better defense in the 2nd half than the Ravens playing a more conservative, run run then check down pass offense.

    • But the Patriots are not a good defensive team. They made halftime adjustments, the Ravens didn't account to these adjustments. That's bad playcalling.

This is exactly what I'm talking about, Cameron can't make in-game adjustments to save his life. We've seen it time and time again over the past two seasons and I'm tired of this crap. Not all of it falls on Cameron, Flacco needs to start taking his own chances out there on the field but Cameron needs to call plays that puts us in a position to win games. This team has all the talent you would want in a Superbowl contender, the coaching staff needs to sack up and start calling better games. I like Harbaugh a lot as a HC, his coordinators are crap though and I'm fairly certain he won't get rid of them unless they have a better job offer (Mattison will never get a better position so I bet we're stuck with him).

        • Mattison went into deep prevent zone the second half, while in the first half we werent that deep in the zone.

looking at it, Cameron figured Rice would tire the D out then break a big ass run. That was his mid-game adjustment. It turns out it didnt work.

Thoughts? Overall I wouldnt really complain. Perhaps give us a 3rd down pass specialist. I guess it depends who we cut. He has that "play like a Raven" attitude which would be good.

I'm for any move like that aslong as its the right price, taking a chance on a guy who used to be a force in the NFL is always a good idea again if the price is right.

              • ya he is only 26, I am not saying he can be that beast he once was. Mainly because of his knee and perhaps Roids. But why not take a risk to see if he can develop into a nice 3rd down pass rusher.

                • Prediction on who we will cut for Reed and Ayanbedejo??

I say Hamlin and perhaps Parmele.

Or we IR Gaither and keep Hamlin.

                  • Hamlin will be cut and Gaither will go to the IR I think. IMO there's no way we cut Parmele unless we want a different 3rd string RB AND we dedicate the KR spot to someone else. There's just too many question marks with anybody we put back there to return kicks to start cutting guys that can contribute there. I'd like to see somebody else get a shot back there (David Reed), and maybe when Wilson's hamstring or w/e he injured heals he'll pick up where he left off we could think about letting Jalen go but I just don't see it yet.

                    • I'm glad Flacco didn't force it out there. I think that Cameron needs to make some better calls and better adjustments. However I'm still glad he is here. Our offense is better then what it used to be, but that doesn't say much.

I'm torn on Merriman. I think the guy is a dick but I also just want to win. I think he would probably fall in line because our defense has a strong leadership. If he can rush passer then screw it, bring him in.

It sucks that Gaither is probably going to the IR. I wish we could have had those two strong bookend tackles for this year but I guess not. I wish we could have gotten something for him in hindsight. Is Yanda going to be the RT all year?

Can't wait for Reed to get back out there. He makes that backfield dynamic. I pray he can make some turnovers. He is going to score a TD on sunday.

hopefully that meeting can work things out w/ this offense.

                        • Wow that is nice if Stallworth is fully/mostly practicing. If he is healthy then he finishes up this week, and then gets 2 more weeks before the next game. Plenty of time to work himself back into the offense.

                          • I read that he's preparing for the game after our bye week.

                            As for this week.
I pray we don't play it easy and overlook the Bills and look forward to our bye week.

Fitzpatrick is playing well as of late, the Bills are coming off a bye week and have the kind of runner we struggle with - C.J. Spiller.

I can't see us losing to the Bills, but this is a perfect upset game.

                            • Actually I disagree that we struggle with backs like Spiller, we've been bottling up the small/fast guys for ages. It's the big strong backs ala Hillis, Mendenhall, Peterson, etc. that really give us problems.

true, Hillis was more of us sleeping on him and that o-line.

I don't think we struggle with Rashard Mendenhall. We held him in check with a 3.2 YPC. He did score twice, but it was near the redzone. Plus, he had 25 carries. We held him to 79 yards total. Not bad for someone who got 25 carries and 2 catches.

Peterson tore us up no doubt about it. He isn't just a big strong back though, he's probably one of the fastest guys in the league at his size. Plus, Tavares Gooden(started that game) is a joke of a middle linebacker :)

I believe we struggle with guys like Chris Johnson (Danny Woodhead last week) and more of the faster RB's.

Things change though, we aren't that great of a run defending team overall that we used to be.
