  • Pro Bowl

If the Pro Bowl were tomorrow, which Cowboys would make it based on merit of play and not just on reputation.

    QB- Romo
RB- Barber**this one I'm iffy on, but I think he'd make it
    WR- TO
    TE- Witten
    C- Gurode
    G- Davis
    OLB- Ware
    K- Folk

Has Leonard Davis been playing that well? I was watching one game (I think the Bears game) where he got beat quite a few times and had some penalties. No arguements for Romo, MBIII, TO, Witten, or Ware from me.

How could you leave off Henry the way he has played so far??? I mean its not like he's a lock to make it at years end, but leading the nfl in picks and not even playing the last game is more then enough right now, he probably would of gotten to pad his stats last week, but whatever, im just hoping we get healthy playoff time the rest doesnt really matter

You can make an argument for Bradie James. He has been great this year.

If Newman plays the way he did against the Bills, there is absolutely no way he should miss the Pro Bowl again. And Bradie James is a guy who's definitely close to being on that level. I actually wouldn't be surprised right now if Anthony Spencer ended up in the Pro Bowl as well...it looks to me like he's about to turn it on.

Gotta be honest about this ..... I don't find this thread even remotely interesting given we are on game 6 and we have a big game this weekend.

No harm intended. Just so soon. Talk to me after Week 10.

If it was selected RIGHT NOW, it would be ugly. We all know how voters favor the team with the most wins on it (as evidenced by the 11 selections from SD last year, as well as the numerous undeserving Patriot selections through the years).

I am thinking it would look something like this:

                1. Romo: obvious
                2. TO: fairly obvious, though the last two weeks would not help his cause much.
                3. Flozell: remember, Pace is out for the year, Jammal Brown is playing like ass, and Flozell is playing his best football in years. Shoe in here.
                4. Davis: shoe in.
                5. Gurode: breaking through last year was big for him, has been great so far this year.
                6. Witten: would be the best TE in the league in nearly any other year, but has to settle for second with the way Gates is going off every game.

                Defense

                7. Ware: becoming the dominant pass rusher we have been hoping for.
                8. James: a close one here, but only because he doesn't have the name value; has been the best player that no one is talking about on the team, maybe even the conference. Superb so far.
                9. Henry: has always been underrated, the 4 Ints by themselves would do the trick, has played great.
                10. Williams: deserving or not, he would get the nod here without any questions asked. Despite all the controversy surrounding him, he has been much better this year than in years past. He hasn't given up any long TDs, and I haven't noticed him getting lost in coverage since week 1 against NYG. He's been around the LOS a lot more, and his tackling numbers are up as well. His Int against Chicago was a very impressive play on the ball.

                ST

                11. McBriar: his growing name value, rocket leg, and status on the NFC's best team would get him this nod.
                12. Folk: the scoring leader for the NFC, has been truly clutch already, and hasn't missed a kick on his own all year.

Of course, this thread is kind of pointless, but I think those players would all make it for sure, with an outside shot at Barber and maybe Ratliff (he has been tremendous so far). This is what happens when your team wins.

Can I ask what position Roy Williams would make the Pro-Bowl at?

Adrian Wilson, Darren Sharper, and Sean Taylor come to mind at SS who play SS on passing downs.

I think Taylor plays FS and Landry SS...

OK, Landry. Point is Roy Williams is not playing SS, or any safety, anymore. He last played SS versus the Giants.

Kudos to WP for finding a new role for him. From what I see, Roy is essentially playing LB.

BTW, the Deadskins D is very good this year. Them and Pittsburgh so far seem very good.

                        Witten

                        Henry

                        Fringe (alternates)-
