  • Maranelli: KJ's Knee Injury "Pretty Serious"

Lions coach Rod Marinelli acknowledged after Sunday's game that Kevin Jones' knee injury "doesn't look good."

"It's pretty serious," Marinelli confirmed. Jones will likely have tests taken early this week, but a major ligament tear at this point in the year would cost him a good amount of offseason activities. Marinelli should know more Monday. T.J. Duckett appears likely to start in Week 17 at Green Bay. Dec. 23 - 6:45 pm et

RB is now another need for the lions in the offseason (draft or free agency, doesn't matter).....KJ hasn't made it to the end of the last 2 seasons.

We'll be taking a Running Back early in the draft... I wouldn't be surprised if we took Jonathan Stewart if he was available in Round 1.. Maybe we'll pick Mike Hart in Round 3 or so.

Wow that sucks, he was coming together so well as of lately, I thought he had his injuries behind him...hopefully this injury isnt going to be something that makes him a different player afterwards because he really is a talented rb...

But if Martz is staying I dont think you guys really need a rb in rd 1, why not take someone like Slaton later on, seems like you just need a rb who can catch out of the backfield when 4 wrs are on the field, and Duckett is already that power back...Just seems like with Martz in charge there wont ever be a consistent power running game so why not go defense early on

I think Taylor signed an extension w/ Jax, KJ is a very good back when healthy, tough loss.
Bluto- When the going gets tough the tough get going.

            Bluto I'm a zit get it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=qft0bdhl17c

What about Brian Calhoun? Is he still on your team?

Currently he is. I don't think he'll be on the team for long. Two straight ACL injuries.. Got 7 games in during his rookie year, did nothing.. He played about 4 games this season and didn't do anything.. There's a good chance he'll be cut.

By the way, I have to give props to Xio.. I think it was him.. in the NFLDC chat on Draft Day 2006, he totally called the Brian Calhoun pick.

I dont know why. I think he is a good back who would fit perfectly in Martz's system.

im pretty sure were no longer looking for players to fit Martz's system because i dont think Martz will be returning.

                      ACL tear.

I want Justin Fargas. Although I do like Duckett a lot.

We still haven't gotten the word on whether it's a full tear or not. The reporting is slacking with Christmas I guess.
