  • What would u think about this deal...

How would you bucs fans feel if the Tampa Bay Front Office traded both 2nd round picks in 2010 for Brandon Marshall? In my opinion it is a great deal for a top 5 WR in this league, but I mean, we do have many needs and need to come out of this draft with a starting WR and another WR to add depth, DE, DT, S and CB and o-line depth.

So what sums up, we have 10 picks and need :
    2 WR's
    1 Starting DT
    1 starting DE
    1(maybe 2 CBS)
    1 Strong Safety
    O-line depth( 2 picks)
    1 RB
    1 lb

Here is the article i got this info from:

    http://www.milehighreport.com/2010/1...ll-to-the-bucs

Do you think we should make that deal? Honestly, i think trading 1 of our 2nd round picks and a 3rd round pick in 2011 and a 5th is a good enough deal.

That link says the Bucs would give up both second rounders and their 5th rounder for Marshall. Hell no. Marshall is a good receiver, but those two second rounders will most likely end up being starters for us, given the depth of the draft and the sorry state of some positions on this team.

Plus, the Cardinals will probably be eager to move Boldin, since he's said he will no re-sign with them following the 2010 season. We could probably get him for just a 2nd round pick. I'd much prefer the Bucs go with Boldin, since he'd likely end up being cheaper and he's not a head-case like Marshall.

I would go as far as a 2nd and 5th this year and a 2nd next year... You got to ask yourself was Winslow worth a 2nd and 5th round pick... If Marshall can have a 100+ recption year with Kyle Orton and Chris Simms he can with any QB... Perfect weapon for a devoloping QB....

Yeah but you always have to remember that Marshall is one F-up away from sitting for a lot of games. Also remember that just cause he gets traded to a new team he's still the same person. With the same problems. It just takes time for him him to show his ugly side.

Really Marshall hasn't had any off the field F ups in a while... His issue's started when McDaniels got there.. For a guy that traded away a good young QB you would think that he would do everything possible to make his pro bowl WR happy... McDaniels is an egomanic that has jacked that team up..

HIs issues started when he began hitting his old lady and supposedly tripping on a McDonald's bag and into the TV set under Shanahan. Goodell had a serious sit down with Marshall at one point under Shanahan and now that he is under McDaniels he has only been a turd on the field.
            .
Marshall has some serious character problems, besides that, our 2nd round picks are both so early that they are essentially equivilent to late 1st round picks... which is way too much to pay for a player that is a serious character problem and one screw-up away from a long-time suspension.

And here's the thing about turds like Marshall, once a turd, always a turd. Players that were turds early in their careers that forced themselves out of town only went on to be turds at their next destination. Besides that, Marshall will want a HUGE contract which would totally make it a bad deal considering we would be giving up 2 #2s AND giving him a big contract? Horrible idea... besides that, thankfully, Dominik has stated that we're building through the draft and not pursuing free agents... and hopefully veteran idiots as well.

I'd give the Broncos a conditional 3rd round pick in the 2011 draft. If he does well and stays out of trouble, it goes to a 2nd, if not it falls to a 4th, then 5th. He is a high risk guy.

Yea they said the samething about Winslow... Samething about Randy Moss...
I know he has some baggage but it is worth it to me... I mean TJ and Talib are in the same boat if you have that type of thinking, they are one mistake away from being suspended a lot of games, should we ship those turds off to another team?

Definitely worth it. A reliable, good route running, good hands receiver to go along with K2? That would do wonders for Freeman.

I would definitely advocate a trade for Brandon Marshall. Freeman's development is incredibly important and a deep threat like Marshall would definitely help out a lot. I'd give up a 2nd for him.

That is just a writers take... Of course the Bronco's writer over estimates, just like the Buc's fans underestimate.. Brasho - "a conditional 3rd round pick in next years draft" come on' man...

I could see something like a 3rd this year and a conditional fourth next year.

While I say now that I wouldn't trade both our seconds for Marshall if it actually were to happen I would be ecstatic. He is a bonafide number 1 and fills one of our biggest needs

What makes anyone think that Baltimore wouldn't trade a 2nd and 5th round pick? You can't get Marshall for a 3rd round pick, no way Denver does that imo...
Our 2a pick is basically like a 1st rounder so I could see us having the advantage over a lot of teams in that aspect...
