  • How will we do this year?

Just tell me how you guys think we will do this year. You can put the the 16 games win and loss thing on here, but just give me a paragraph on what you think will happen. I think we will do alot better than what people say. I think we will finish around .500. The defense is going to be a lot better. Are 32nd ranked run defense will go up. Mccoy and Price will take pressure off of Rude and get him back to his zone he was in back in 2008. The secondary was pretty good last year. I think we ranked 10th. Myron Lewis will make a huge impact. Then there is the offense. Freeman will improve alot. I think Benn will be in the conversation for offensive rookie of the year, but I think the RBs concern me a bit. Special Teams should also be fair. Connor Barth should be are guy the next few years. I think we will finish 8-8 and our draft needs will be DE,RB, and maybe O-Line.

    Now Your Turn!

We will make a big step in the right direction in my opinion and finish with 7-8 wins. Hopefully that will prime us for big runs in the two-three seasons after that.

5-6 wins. Any more is gravy. Any less and we're cleaning house.

If we do clean house. Who do we like as our new head coach?

Maybe Leslie Frazier or Rob Ryan. Id like Bill Cowher as well.

i think we will win 6-8 games this year. Joe M Charlie, i really think firing raheem would be a bad idea, unless we have another 3 win season or less. (however, the way freeman had this team competing in his 9 starts, dont see that happening.)

if we win 6 games, they will retain him. Remember, this team is still in the rebuilding process and QB Josh Freeman is only 22 years old, but he's really progressing and taking on the role of being the franchise qb in tampa.

I hope your right but I would be happy with 7-9 only problem I see on what should be a very improved defense is who is going to bring pressure of the edge consistently? On offense as long as Trueblood keeps the holding penalties down and Freeman continues to progress every game should be competitive. I say DE 1st round that can bring that pressure.

                7-9

Freeman played much better than I had expected, despite having trash WRs. Rookie WRs usually struggle and take 2-3 seasons to really produce. Hopefully he can continue to improve despite not having very good targets.

A lot of stuff like not locking onto targets, going through progressions, reading defenses has little to do with the quality of WRs. Aslong as he's making good progress on aspects he can control thats what is important. Even if he's production isn't great.

6 wins. We will lose 3 games by a touchdown or less.

Our defense will be in the top 10. We will struggle getting to the QB. Rush defense will improve. Ruud will finish in the top 5 for tackles.

On offense, K2 will have the most catches of all TEs in the NFL. Cadillac will break 1000. Freeman will have more TDs than INTs.

Tampa looks like a 6 win team from the outside looking in. Games against some perennial losers helps you there, though. Cleveland, Detroit, Washington, St. Louis, Arizona (they could be very bad,) Seattle, KC and even Jacksonville. There should be 6 wins there, and maybe some surprise wins within the division.

I think the lack of experience at WR will be a major flaw, even with Freeman showing great promise. Sammie isn't scaring anyone, and as much as I wanted Nunn to stick on NE's roster, he's not going to be the number 1 you'll need this season.

I didnt even know we had a Nunn on the team. I think K2, Sammie, Mike Williams, and Benn will be the top 4 receivers this year. The running game should be awful once again because our offensive line cant run block...

I would love to see more games like @NO in week 16 in terms of running, but then we usually look like week 17 vs ATL when the runing game did nothing. Freeman will likely have to do everything offensively.

Defense is what I am excited about. A good D-coordinator, elite talent like Talib, Jackson, McCoy, etc... if they can play like they can, they will keep us in games.

I thought they changed the run blocking scheme last year from the zone blocking they started with and now we can look forward to a better production in the run game.

Yeah we are going back to man blocking but Zuttah is weak, Joseph and Trueblood are inconsistent, and Penn might be sitting on his couch during the season.
                          save Freeman

This should be fun when you lose to the Browns in a matchup nightmare for the Bucs
