Really? HD quality movies are not much better than normal?
Yea, you have to have an HD TV, but I figured that was a given. If you don't have one, there's no need for a BluRay player. Also, BluRay players improve the playback of normal DVDs. It won't be HD quality, but it is better than normal.
Plus, new DVDs are usually $20 and new BluRays are usually $30. Yea, it's an extra $10, but I like watching high quality things rather than **** so...
I dont think it is. I dont think its worth the extra $15 per dvd and the extra few hundred to get a player. Not to mention you would need an HD tv to begin with so that automatically counts me out.
If the money doesn't matter then it's definitely worth it. You can get a computer monitor with HD and a Blu-Ray drive which would be much cheaper than a PS3 and a HDTV. PS3's are worth the money if you like video games. Also, Blu-Ray prices will go down as DVDs slowly become obsolete like the VHS. That's still a ways off though.
