The Academy and I agreed on 9 of 15 awards. Thats a lot higher than I expected it to be. I never saw La Vie En Rose, so I didnt nominate Cotilard for my awards.

They didnt allow TWBB's score to be nominated, otherwise it would have won. Seriously, what a great score.

DDL's mantle has to look good. With the Commie as the prize possession and the 2 lead actor oscars on either side of it.

Beowulf was really, really fun, I thought. One of the most enjoyable scenes in movies last year had to be where Beowulf is in a swimming race, a serpent swallows him, and then he escapes by stabbing out the serpent's eye, while screaming BEOWULF! And then jumping right back into the swimming race.

        • Marion Cotillard was fantastic. Edith Piaf is a hard character to replicate and she did it with perfection

don't get me wrong, it was an enjoyable action flick but the CGI made it kindof hard to watch...

I just don't understand their reasoning (well, I do) for doing a all CGI movie when they could've gone live action with the serpants, grendal, his mother and the dragon as CGI...

                    • I just saw Gone Baby Gone...that was a great movie. Filled with twists and great performances. And the ending really packs a punch- i won't spoil it for anyone, you got to see it to really appreciate the ending and the questions it raises. It really leaves an impact. Anyone else seen it?

                            • So what is everyone's movie that has meant the most for you in your life?

For me, it has to be The Graduate. My favorite movie of all-time and the most personal I've ever seen.
