  • Happy 40th Woodstock

I can't believe there's no thread on this today. I always remember, my birthday's on woodstock anniversary every year and most of those bands who played are some of my faves. Best. Concert. Ever.

woodstock is overrated. bonnaroo is a two times better concert now, which is kinda sad.

Rent the Michael Wadleigh documentary DVD. The soundtrack alone is a classic keeper.

i don't think there's one single act at bonnarroo i'd rather see than almost any act at woodstock. they just don't make em like they used to.

Bonnaroo is definitely a hell of a time with a ton of great music but it doesn't even compare to Woodstock. If I could go back in time for one thing it would probably be this. EPIC.

Since when is Bonnaroo decidedly better than Lollapalooza?

Since when does any modern music festival that costs hundreds to attend while being packed with marketing even come close to something as groundbreaking as Woodstock? Even if you ignore the social impact of Woodstock, the musical acts alone pretty much top any festival I've ever seen come and go while I was alive.

Not only did Woodstock have legendary performers, but it also had 400,000 people attending. That amount of people and the culture itself are spectacles.
