  • Good point. He explained all that in the article I read. VT would be a great landing point since A.D. is graduating.

Yup and how Daddy Dell was a start at VAtech. Seth wanted to go to Tech badly last year but they never offered a full scholarship.

      • I don't think my heart can take another freaking UK coach search.

They're already saying Izzo, Calipari and Donovan will be targets if/when Gillispie is gone, ugh.

EDIT: Gillispie's buyout clause is confusing given how the MOU is worded.

          Don't sleep on Syracuse though.

          PG - Flynn
          SG - Devo
          SF - Rautins/Wes Johnson
          PF - Paul Harris
          C - Onuaku

Everyone returns but Onganet. Then we have either Rautins/Johnson, Rick Jackson, Scoop Jardine, Mookie Jones, DaShonte Riley and Brandon Triche. This is one of our deepest teams ever plus all players in our starting lineup have a shot at the NBA. I would even argue that Rick Jackson has NBA potential. Definitely a serious national championship contending team.

          • Kansas and Memphis are playing an out of conference game next year...That's going to be insane.

We bring everyone back from an NCAA tournament team along with the 23rd ranked recruiting class, but the Big 10 is going to be great next year, should be interesting to see where we fit in. We should be great defensively again with Nolen, Johnson, and Sampson, hopefully with another year of experience guys like Sampson and Iverson can develop their offensive games.

As for the newcomers Royce White should be an immediate contributer but Rodney Williams is basically an athlete at this point and his actual basketball skills are in question. It will be interesting to see what Tubby can do with him. Hopefully Justin Cobbs can fill in as the backup point and move Joseph to the 2. Mbakwe got minutes at Marquette his freshman year, and he is an athletic freak with a big body who can bang and rebound down low.

Grant should fit in pretty well in the ACC. Great shooter and just a really good scorer overall, some solid PG skills as well. Can really carry a team when he's hot. Pretty poor defender, though. I'll be rooting for him at the U.
