yeah man, most were between 5'10" and 6'3"

when you are running 80 miles a week, you tend to burn more calories than you can possibly consume.

CJSchneider 12-07-2009 11:25 AM

This is why I stayed at 160 lbs when I was in the Army. It was the 30-40 miles a week I was running.

once you hit those higher mileage marks, you basically have to carb load, eat as much as you can, and eat during any chance you get.

oh and drink regular Budweiser, 'cause it's 5.0%, not that 4.5% ****. ;)

MetSox17 12-07-2009 11:35 AM

My knees would be gone by the time i was 30 if i was running that much a week.

Brent 12-07-2009 11:38 AM

you're all off topic!

M.O.T.H. 12-07-2009 11:48 AM

Yes, I could kick all of your asses when I was in 8th grade. lol

It's funny that some said they were like 6'3 by that age. The tallest kid at my school had to be like 5'11 in 8th grade, and he towered over everyone. He was the center on our crappy basketball team in 8th grade. He didnt grow anymore in high school, though so we all caught up to him rather quickly.

I don't remember how big I was in 8th grade, but freshman year when I got my physical for football I was 6' 200 pounds and had only about 10 pounds of excess fat I could legitimately drop at the time, actually ended up 210 by the end of the season because I started lifting weights more seriously. But we had some huge kids on our team so I was about the 10th biggest kid on the team and maxing out at 6' 225 a year later I got surpassed by the time we hit varsity having to first slide out to DE and then stand up at SLB.

I'm proud to be a small man.

BlindSite 12-07-2009 04:02 PM

Short or average height people have life infinitely easier than tall people. Trousers can always be shortened, can't be lengthened, no worries with let room in cinemas, planes or buses or cars, beds are easier to fit in, women are easier to talk to.

Yeah I say I was 6-3 because I think I grew an inch every year I was in high school.Could be wrong though. Im 6-6 or 6-7 now. Kind of sucks though because my docter said he thought I may reach in the upper sixes and maybe lower sevens by the time I was twenty.

Especially if you're not a basketball player. Then you're just a big freak.

I think you need to be intimidating force and grab boards. He would have to teach you the outlet pass.

It's fine. Just remember this, if someone is driving in hard, step in to stop the penetration.

If you're a center on my team, the last thing I want you to do is be dribbling.

CC.SD 12-07-2009 07:19 PM

Don't panic if you get double teamed.

M.O.T.H. 12-07-2009 07:24 PM

The tallest kid I hung out with was 6'7. It was an adjustment hanging out with him, it just felt awkward for the longest time. I remember when we went to a concert and these girls kept bitching behind us because "Lurch" was standing right in front of them and they couldnt see anything. :(

He's also the kid I talked about before who was 6'7 and couldnt dunk on our basketball team. He can now though but, not back then. haha. Had like an 8 inch vert. Kid actually looks like a giant twin of Jason Mraz, he looks exactly like him. lol.
