Regardless of where he was born I'm pretty sure everyone considers him French. Hamilton wasn't born as an "American" but you better believe I consider him as "American" as they come.

3 rules of French warfare:

1.) They can win when led by a non-Frenchman
2.) When America does most of the fighting
3.) When they are fighting other french

Wasn't France not "nation" (hence allegiance to a monarch and not a nation)until well after Napoleon was born and Corsica was sold/annexed to France in the same year he was born?

Not as good as the first, but

He set himself up to be President as well. I wish the dual never happened.

The duel was a hit, an assassination to take out Hamilton by Burr who was a crooked operative in the pay of foreign (Spain & others) govts. & in cahoots with equally crooked Gen. Wilkinson, who conspired to overthrow Jefferson.

Jefferson was the fave Founding Father, no contest. He sat up all one night & wrote the whole country concept down, called the Declaration of Independence. Too bad they edited out maybe 40% of his writings in the final edition. Here he is the cigar box art genre:

Lafayette was only 19 when he sided with the Americans, who were losing the Revolution until he coerced the French on to our side, we would not have won without him/them, very courageous man. He was a hero of his own country's revolution 25 yrs. later too.

I think Washington, Jefferson & Lafayette are the only 3 of that noble group who have a county, city, street, major edifice or something named for them in all 50 states & the DC, Madison is 4th.

I'd guess there's a Martin Luther King Jr. Street in just about every town. At least any town with a significant black population.

According to a book I read, it is the hot spot to score drugs in every major city.

(One of Mick Foley's books where he said that a group of wrestlers went there every stop)
