I was surprised that Classic Rock isn't 1. And Alternative is only 2? Alternative is too generic of a title, but it has some crazy extremes.

When I was a kid, I worked as a restaurant as a dish washer during the summer. We would scrap left-over food into buckets that were given too a local pig farmer (for a small price of course). I remember one of the cooks that worked there also, being appalled at the fact that I would scrape bacon, ham and sausage into the buckets as well.

Cool story, I know.

They always used the Marauders Map until they gave it to Harry in Prisoner of Azkaban.

Ehh I don't think it's that big a deal. Seems like most of those people were 12 year olds girls.

It also seemed fake, but if it was real, they're incredibly stupid. I learned about the Titanic in 1st Grade. My teacher read us a picture book about it, and told us that nobody thought that thing could sink. It was same year that we learned some addition, how to count to 100, and how to say the pledge of allegiance.

I learned about the Titanic again in 2nd grade, and 3rd grade, and pretty much every other grade. It's sort of a big thing in our culture.

slightlyaraiderfan 04-10-2012 07:41 PM

whoa, i'm a level 666er, no one can save me now @_@"

b316 04-10-2012 08:01 PM

Yeah, i'm surprised these kids didn't learn about the Titanic in school. I guess they had to take it out, and make room for more new history, like Iraq, terrorist, Afgan, Oil.

Or kids just ********.

It's like singing the national anthem before games. Completely pointless, but this is Amurricah damnit!

America is a strange place. I never really got it either, but I just hummed along with it every morning for 13 years of my life because it was too damn early in the morning to question anything.

Raiderz4Life 04-10-2012 08:45 PM

The *** and Pearl Harbor ones are the only ones I laughed at.

Not that I got offended by any of em or anything...they are true mostly...just weren't too funny.

Caddy 04-10-2012 08:47 PM

They are all mostly true and I love it.

CJSchneider 04-10-2012 08:55 PM

Must be an off day, I'm not amused for some reason.

Jvig43 04-10-2012 08:55 PM

They are indeed mostly true and hilarious.

I've asked a lot of people in the 50-80 year old demographics about the whole metric system thing, because it pisses me off and their generations dropped the ball by not getting behind Ford and Carter on the issue. Without fail, their responses amount to:

Don Vito 04-10-2012 09:30 PM

I don't understand why people have a problem with the national anthem before games or the pledge at school. You know it is OK to have pride in your country right? It isn't a "Murrica thing, people all over the world have pride in their country. I don't see the problem.

Think anyone in Canada bitches about hearing their anthem at hockey games. They sing Oh Canada at Bruins games and probably all games in the US and I think it is awesome.

njx9 04-10-2012 09:33 PM

the pledge is indoctrination, not pride. and it's an utter joke anyways. i stopped saying it out loud in 2nd grade.

nepg 04-10-2012 09:34 PM

*shrug* I don't mind the "English" Standard. Everyone wants **** to be based off of 10's... Why? "It makes more sense." How does it make more sense? Because your OCD ass can't handle a system based on 3's and 4's rather than 10's? My argument FOR "English" Standard is that it makes more sense because time is based on 3's and 4's. I'm also in favor of using GMT as a standard for travel systems (it's so ******* ******** reading inter-time zone travel times and completely eliminating DST.

CashmoneyDrew 04-10-2012 09:34 PM

I don't mind the national anthem before sporting events. But saying the pledge of allegiance every.single.day. in school is ridiculous.
