Nah, it's normal for people to get offended. But for the most part I feel like people should just keep it to themselves and ignore it rather than calling attention to it and having it censored from others who might not take offense. Obviously there are instances where someone needs to be put in their place but that's usually when someone is just being obnoxious about the whole thing.

the problem with most of those jokes (for me) is that they're not funny. there's rarely an actual joke.

Jokes like that are more "shock humor" but once we get to the point where nothing is shocking anymore, it just turns into something to piss people off.
