I think it is Tagliabue stepping down and retiring. Change in commissioner effects the entire league, not just the record books.

Tagliabue stepping down is a huge thing in the NFL. All that he has done for it and now a new chapter is starting. As for the Saints being an elite team, I would say you need to have more than 1 good season. They are far from elite.

The Saints were 10-6 in the NFC and every thinks they are so great.
