Kelvin Taylor

Fred Taylor's son, who is starting on Varsity at Belle Glades Day as a 5'11 205 lb 8th grader. He runs exactly like his dad. Keep an eye out for him as he gets older. Kid is gonna be hyped up coming out of high school.

BRAVEHEART 04-20-2009 02:32 PM

Is he a gator lean (lol)?

sbh15 04-20-2009 03:00 PM

I put this in the '09 recruiting thread. If he gets faster (as I'm sure he will as he grows), he'll be something special.

Don't expect him to be a Gator lock, btw. His dad is not a Gator fan and there was some bad blood between him and UF.

I don't know where you're getting this from... he had problems with his agent, I've seen nothing wrong between him and UF. Keep in mind though, I wasn't following college football when Fred was at Florida considering I was about 5.

JeffSamardzijaIRISH 04-22-2009 03:49 PM

Runs just like Emmanuel Moody.

The university basically banned Fred Taylor from Gainesville. He definitely has a problem with them.

Once he gets that second gear he is going to be an absolute stud. If this kid continues to develop and he stays healthy he will be the real deal.

Ah, well as I said I wasn't following things then... What happened?

ironman4579 04-24-2009 08:58 PM

If he's 5'11" 205 as an 8th grader, I'm not sure he'll be a running back by the time he's ready to decide on a college.

MichaelJordanEberle (sabf) 05-05-2009 02:39 PM

Holy **** 5'11" 205? Someone check his birth certificate maintenant.

Shahin 05-10-2009 10:46 PM

that kid at the end of the video laid a pretty good hit on him...although he had just shook like 3 other guys.

edit// what the ****, he's in 8th grade?!

!

BaLLiN 05-26-2009 06:02 PM

he's starting on a highschool team as an eigthgrader?

Burger 06-27-2009 06:22 PM

He went to Tennessee's camp.

Da Big Harv 01-03-2010 10:35 PM

for those of you who dont follow Florida ball Kelvin Taylor had a monster year running the ball scoring over 50 TD and rumor has it he is going to be transfering to St Thomas Aquinas

superman8456 01-04-2010 05:10 PM

I'm amazed by this kids potential. He is only going to get bigger, faster, and stronger too. Simply remarkable.

tjsunstein 01-15-2010 11:44 AM

The block he lays down on that passing play is sick. 2:25 I believe.

Ernie Sims did as well.

I believe Taylor was either first or second team all state as an 8th grader.

I've also read that his dad doesn't want him playing in a spread offense.

MichaelJordanEberle (sabf) 01-15-2010 08:50 PM

Come to Da U, Kelvin...

sbh15 01-15-2010 09:55 PM

It will actually take a lot for him not to be a Gator.

Family ties. And he's coming form an area that sends a lot of players to UF.

have you read what was said before? 'supposedly' fred doesnt want him in a spread. and fred has a bad rep with florida, so it might be easy to take him away from UF. just saying, according to this thread.

Yeah, that's wrong from what I've read from more reputable sources.

Fred Taylor has no problem with the Gators, but there was some sort of a fiasco with his agent around the time he went to the NFL.
