The Brandon Graham thread

Now that the Eagles have signed a cornerback/safety from the scratch'n'dent aisle, how many of you want the Eagles to grab Brandon Graham in the first round of the draft, if he's available?

This guy could really shore up the LDE position with his ability to play the run and pass, and I think he's one of these rare draft prospects that racks up 8.0+ sacks in his rookie year (like Dwight Freeney and Brian Orakpo).

I personally think this is the best selection the Eagles can possibly make at #24 right now, if he's still there.

I say yes, barring any great prospect falling, or trading up in the draft. He is one of my favorite prospects and he fits the team well. I say yes because I like him, but honestly, there are a few guys I'd prefer to have over him, but I seriously doubt they will last all the way to 24.

Andy and Howie must have read this thread.

Someone fill me in on what's up with Graham.

I wanted him, or Jerry Hughes in that 2010 draft.
Instead our GM passed on Hughes, and reached for Nick Perry last year as THE OLB compliment to Matthews. Fail.

Is Graham just never going to make it because of those injuriezzz?
We can relate to that schit.

Tell me more about Brandon.
How did he get injured in the first place anyway?

I think he had a non-contact ACL tear late in his rookie season.

Then he missed the 2011 season while recovering from the surgery.

in 2012 he came back and was one of the best pass rushers in the NFL as a rotational player in a 4-3 wide-9. This year he has been getting a <20 snaps a game as a rotational 3-4 OLB and not been doing as well.

I think he best fits a 4-3 Wide-9 but could be a impact 10+ sack guy in any 4-3, really. If he was signed by a team like the Falcons, Rams, or Giants and given a starter's job, he could probably be a top-10 DE easily.

The injury really didn't affect him that much because he played really well in 2012. He just needs to be a 4-3 DE, and probably a 4-3 LDE.
