Remembering Sean Taylor today

3 years ago today Sean Taylor had his life taken away. It's hard to believe its been 3 years since his death. Still remember it like it was yesterday and how heart broken the whole NFL community was. RIP Sean Taylor. You will forever be a hero in our books.

RIP Sean Taylor. We all miss you.

I still remember watching him like it was yesterday. He was my favorite player in the NFL.

Damn, life is a pain.

tjsunstein 11-27-2010 12:29 PM

Could have been one of the greatest although new NFL would have fined him his salary for the way he played.

I'm pretty sure Brian Moorman is still having nightmares from that hit in the Pro Bowl

oh man... I remember crying when I got an espn mobile alert and failing a history test because I couldn't focus. I just couldn't believe it.

Cried like a baby the morning I found out. Will always be my favorite player, sucks he was took so young. His last season he was playing the best of his whole career, there was nothing he couldn't do.

RIP Sean Taylor :(

Didn't get to see him play much early on, but I did know he was a good player. Sad to have such a good player, and a guy turning into a good person, taken away so soon.

I still play Madden 08 so I can have Sean Taylor on my Madden team.

RIP One of the best ever.

CJSchneider 11-27-2010 02:12 PM

I actually cried when the Redskins only sent 10 men out on the field, against Buffalo, as a tribute.

No. Sorry, but no. I know everyone loves him since he died, but he's not one of the best ever.

One of my favorite players I've ever had the privilege of watching on the football field. Every time he stepped foot on that field you always felt like something special could happen at anytime. I've always felt kinda badly that I felt worse about Sean's death than I have about the death of some relatives and others who I knew. Watching him definitely had an impact on me.

RIP Sean Taylor. Never Forgotten.

He was having an awesome rebound year when it happened.. I couldn't believe it when my roommate told me he died. When it set in it was terrible.

He was only a few years into his career and already was one of the, if not the, most feared person over the middle of the field. He had a great nose for the ball, and was a turnover machine. He was arguably one of the top 3 safeties in the game at the time of his death. The sky was the limit, and if he had not been murdered theres no question he would of went down as one of the best safeties to ever play the game.

You would be the one to post this **** in this thread. Take your Haterade elsewhere

It's unfortunate how soon his career (and life, of course) ended, but you can't just project him out as one of the best ever. He only played three and a half seasons, there is no way you can possibly put him into that group.

Did you actually ever watch him play?

You don't need a huge sample (10+ seasons) to be able to determine how good a player is. Gale Sayers, Terrell Davis, in their short time in the league, I think it's safe to say they established themselves as two of the best players at their position.

Sean Taylor was special. And in his short time he was able to play established how special he would be.

J-Mike88 11-27-2010 02:57 PM

Obviously he was talented as hell, and had started to get his life straight.
He would be in the middle of his prime right now, and can you imagine him with LaRon Landry back there right now?

That is dangerous to even imagine right now as well as Landry has been playing (other than the vs Vick comedy night).
