Drew Bledsoe Voted to Pats HOF

Congrats to Drew. Not really a big surprise, imo, as he was the face of the Patriots franchise at a critical point in the team's history. Specifically, the point where the Kraft family took over and took the Patriots from perennial doormat to consistent contender.

I still believe he is underrated/undervalued among NFL aficionados. A cannon arm attached to a guy who held the ball a little too long on most plays . . . sounds more familiar now than it did back then.

It's great to see him win in a landslide. He deserved to it. He was a great player for us at a critical time in the team's history.

"Bledsoe earned the highest percentage of votes for any candidate and becomes the first player to be selected by the fans into the Patriots Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility."

Happy for him.
The way he handled being benched for Tom Brady after he recovered from injury is the biggest thing that stands out to me.
Class act. Was in Brady's ear every second he was in the sideline
In the first Super Bowl win when BB told Brady to just check it down and be care with the football... Blesoe told him "**** that, sling it"
and Brady hit T.Brown(?) for a 15-20 yd pass with a bullet.

I'm glad he's in. He's forever a patriot.

Will they erect a statue in his honor or is it enough for him to show up occasionally to stand like he used to in the pocket?

The statue... needs no statue

Bledsoe played on some really bad teams. Had he been surrounded by talent like Troy Aikman, Bledsoe would have easily won 3 super bowls.

Max "The Gate" Lane and Todd Rucci. Enough said. lol. He really had some bad teams in the latter years of his stay here. Pete Carroll is still one of the worst personnel evaluators I have ever seen.

Here's an awesome article about Drew's time here on a random site.

BB's comment on Drew, from the Pats site:
"I congratulate Drew on this most deserving honor. For his production at the quarterback position and his professionalism for nearly a decade, Drew was instrumental in helping put this franchise back on the map. His induction will be an appropriate celebration of an outstanding career."
