I'd love to have him, but it depends on the asking price. At this point Harbaugh believes Kaepernick is the QBOTF, so we won't give up too much for Johnson, especially in a lockout shortened offseason. Hypothetically I'd say a 5th round pick would be fair for both sides- maybe throw in Taylor Mays or something.

Ehh, thats the thing though. He's going to leave next year during Free Agency, so why not get something for him now. I love him as Freeman's back up, but I also want to see him start somewhere.

hawkeye123 08-17-2011 01:07 AM

He wouldn't start over Alex Smith, unfortunately

I really want to see what Josh Johnson can do given a fair chance. He probably doesn't get that with the 49ers various offensive issues, but still, I would really like to see the guy play.

Aaron Maybin is expected to sign with Jets Wednesday

DiG 08-17-2011 10:25 AM

Redskins RB James Davis has reportedly walked out of training camp over dissatisfaction with his playing time and reps.
He would've been better off just asking the Redskins to waive him, instead of coming off as a player with an artificially inflated opinion of himself. Davis is reportedly "still MIA," and his absence is considered unexcused. The third-year running back was buried on the depth chart even with Ryan Torain out.
Source: Chris Russell on Twitter

On ESPN 980 they also reported Davis got into an argument with a coach at a film session over playing time and Mike Shannahan said he has no idea where Davis is.

It did, but he's pretty much ****** for his career once it happens.

Well isn't Gholston gone? Lol.

They took one bust for another. Once again, just like Gholston, if Maybin can't do anything under Rexy than he may as well retire.

Josh Johnson for Taylor Mays, straight up!

DiG 08-17-2011 01:40 PM

Hard to believe that the Cowboys are shopping Tashard Choice for a 5th or 6th round pick. I'd jump all over that! Supposedly will cut him if they dont get any takers.

V.I.P 08-17-2011 01:45 PM

Yeah saw that also. We have absolutely nothing behind Blount. I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a 5th, or just wait till he's cut after preseason ;)

Not so fast. I like what Lumpkin has brought and unless he gets hurt, I don't see why we trade for Choice, when he would clearly be cut and not retained as a 4th RB in Dallas. THey're just trying to see if anyone bites.

Plus, Armando Allen has shown explosiveness in practices and KC game, so don't underestimate these UDFA RBs. Look at Blount and Arian Foster.

fenikz 08-17-2011 02:09 PM

because then you have to compete with other teams for him

Lumpkin looked mehh. Sure he had the best performance, but that's because no one else stepped up. I like the Allen kid, but he was going up against 8th stringers.

K Train 08-17-2011 02:27 PM

i dont know if you guys heard, but im pretty sure

macho harris=championship

I never understood why they were so intent on continuing to give MBIII the ball over him. Choice is nothing special but he's a solid running back.

diabsoule 08-17-2011 04:41 PM

I like Choice quite a bit and any team that needs a RB should scoop him up immediately.

Ah, that was just tremendous when it happened. Tremendous.

fenikz 08-17-2011 05:44 PM

still like a top 10 Cardinals moment for me, Boldin rapes him so hard

BeerBaron 08-17-2011 05:55 PM

It wouldn't even be a TD by today's rules because there's no longer a force out.

Good times nonetheless....I remember the game I had been watching ended and went to that one seconds before that play.

Boldin's tackle would also probably get him fined, lol

yo123 08-17-2011 06:14 PM

I hope each and every one of you dies a horrible death.

I was making fun of your team's history. Because you know...you have none.

Raiderz4Life 08-17-2011 06:34 PM

The Lions are forever cursed for what they did to Barry Sanders.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with choking away two NFC titles the last two decades.

At least we were there. We may have problems getting over the hump but we've had a hell of a lot more good teams than bad teams in our history.

yo123 08-17-2011 06:56 PM

Fine you win.

Raiderz4Life 08-17-2011 06:57 PM

if you flip it upside down its 91-0 =) haha

BeerBaron 08-17-2011 07:02 PM

Hey Vikings/Lions:

Shove it!

yo123 08-17-2011 07:04 PM

Super Bowls are so overrated. We're going to wait until we're good and ready.

hawkeye123 08-17-2011 07:20 PM

Did someone say Super Bowls?

DoughBoy 08-17-2011 07:29 PM

SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

diabsoule 08-17-2011 07:30 PM

Why hasn't Detroit, San Diego, or Pittsburgh jumped on sending a 5th or 6th to Dallas for Tashard Choice?
