All of our receivers are injured and/or unproven. So, again, why not. I think we have what should be a better version of him in David Nelson, but anything is possible as long as Donald Jones is our #2.

BeerBaron 08-24-2011 08:18 PM

Wow, I didn't realize how connected Collins was to Indy:

"I’ve got some pretty significant history with people in this organization, starting with Coach [Jim] Caldwell. He was my quarterbacks coach at Penn State for three years. The Polians, of course, drafted me when I was in Carolina. [Receivers coach] Frank Reich, I played with in Carolina. There’s a lot of significant ties here that made it real attractive to come here.”

Ness 08-24-2011 08:23 PM

Frank Reich was a receiver coach?

He is at least average.

At least average and never misses a game either. And I'm assuming after all this time, he must be getting a small 1 year contract, so it's a really good signing for the Bills. Anyone know why Moats is playing inside??

I know he is 34 and his best football is behind him but I still feel he would be an upgrade for a few teams.

I think he's better then Montrae Holland who is 1 projected starter for us tentatively. I figured he would be a great 1 year gap for us at LG to bring David Arkin and Nagy along slowly instead of starting them right away. I figured he would be high up on our list.

CC.SD 08-24-2011 08:54 PM

I was really hoping we would sign Kirk Morrison, I didn't even post it cause I thought it would be a jinx, Aztecs baby.

I would love him over Daniel "Play like I'm wearing lofers" Loper or Cooper "Crapper" Carlisle.

Scandrick's deal is basically a carbon copy of what the Jags gave to Dawan Landry.

Safety Roy Williams retires. One of the most overrated players ever? He made it to pro bowls by making big hits on the Cowboys...and not much else.

He was a stud his first few seasons, his career really went downhill fast.

Yeah because Darren Woodson was there to cover up his lack of pass coverage skills.

phlysac 08-24-2011 10:11 PM

Then he married Kelly Rowland.

He may have been passable early on but at no point was he ever the pro bowler he was made out to be. He delivered big hits on the Cowboys...that's about it.

I'll just agree to disagree, he was awesome his first 2 or 3 seasons. Certainly not a "passable" starter.

The move probably came after we lost Poz and didn't have too many guys inside. I think they wanted some younger legs in there, since Sheppard is our only other ILB under 30. Moats is a shorter guy that has experience inside and we probably felt more comfortable outside with Kelsay, Merriman, Batten, and Coleman. Especially since the move came before we had Barnett or Morrison. I think he'd still be better outside, especially with the health issues there and Coleman being relatively quiet after missing much of last year (his undrafted rookie season).

Complex 08-24-2011 11:10 PM

Morrison, a free agent linebacker, confirmed on Twitter that he has signed with the Bills.

Ok thanks, I always assumed Moats would push Kelsay off the team.

Jags released WR Tiquan Underwood, S Michael Hamlin, LB Slade Norris, K Sam Swank, and P Brent Bowden.

I will not allow Brian Waters to be a Raider... :)

NY+Giants=NYG 08-25-2011 10:30 AM

ooo underwood! I always been a fan of his.

Unbiased 08-25-2011 10:31 AM

Underwood was actually the guy who made a nice catch along the sideline last year to set up Scobee's 59 yard game winner against Indy. Every other play he was involved in was awful. No hands.

DoughBoy 08-25-2011 10:33 AM

Underwood is god awful

scottyboy 08-25-2011 11:41 AM

any more bad mouthing of Tiquan and I will murder you all.
just sayin'

Raiders sign Lito Sheppard.

RaiderNation 08-26-2011 12:49 PM

I wonder if Lito has any football in the tank left, we will see.

Also Terrelle Pryor is wearing #6

I'm going to rip out your blaspheming voice box and cut off all your fingers and shove them into your belly button so that you cannot physically be able to portray such blasphemy, and then I can make a joke saying "I guess you don't have the stomach for saying things like that anymore".

got it?

Titans sign Kevin Curtis.

Bills give Kyle Williams $17 million guaranteed

Matthew Jones 08-26-2011 04:38 PM

Kirk Morrison to the Bills should work out well - I like the Kyle Williams re-signing as well.

No, just no. Fitzgerald has already had the most prolific post season ever by a WR and damn near willed those Cardinals to a win in that Superbowl.

I shouldn't be surprised though...this is from a guy who defends Jeff Backus and all....

Our linebackers were so bad the past couple years. Even if it doesn't last, just the fact that we have since added Merriman, Barnett, and Morrison is encouraging. Merriman has been the star when he's been playing, but Barnett has been the consistently impressive guy behind Williams and Dareus in the early going.

Maybe it was an exaggeration, but Kyle is worth a hell of a lot more than that. Backus is also extremely underrated, but ah well.

I'm fairly certain I won that debate.

I'm fairly certain everyone just sat around and laughed at you, and other wrestling fans came out and called you out on your argument as well.
