In what way? Cause their playing styles are NOTHING alike.

Also, Lloyd would suck on the Patriots because the passes to him would be accurate and therefore, harder to catch

No. We already have the same player in Johnny Knox, but Knox if faster.

Excuse me? I must've missed it when Johnny led the league in receiving yards last year...

I understand that you think they're a lot alike, and I agree that half of BLs yards are the schemes, but Johnny Knox and Brandon Lloyd are not the same player.

Brandon Lloyd is awful. It was ENTIRELY scheme. He was garbage everywhere else he went. He runs one route well and occasionally makes a circus catch. Outside of McD's scheme, and he'll quickly become average at best now.

Anyone that gives up more than a 4th rounder is an idiot.

Pats sign Marcus Harrison.

Maybe they'll get some garbage time sacks out of him too, ala Mark Anderson?

Can someone post the gif or youtube of Lloyd playing dodgeball? I can't find it anywhere.

It was not entirely scheme, he's been successful this year when healthy and was last year when McDaniels got fired. He's a much better player than he used to be, and he's waaaaaaaaay better than Johnny Knox.

The comparison was made because they both run precisely one route well: the comeback. I'm not sure I've ever seen either actually catch a pass while heading down the field.

And Lloyd is terrible. Why can't anyone get this through their heads? Like several others have said, yet I keep getting blasted for, every season up to last year was awful. He was a disappointment everywhere he went. The epitome of a one year wonder.

If he was really any good at all, why in the hell would the Broncos be trading him? They realize he's a joke and want to get what they can while some other poor sucker might actually trade from him.

he's 30 and due for a new contract. if we don't think we can sign him for an amount we're ok with, why not try to trade him? we're certainly not competing this year. did he kick your dog?

No, but people acting like he's going to come in and be an instant #1 threat probably haven't seen him play at all beyond his occasional highlight catch.

He was a monster last year, had raving reports from camp, and is the #1 on the Broncos. I think on a WR needy team he would come in and be an instant #1 threat, yes.

You apparently haven't seen him play at all in the last 2 years.

Breaking News: The Packers still have injuries.
Starting S Morgan Burnett broke his hand in practice this week.

****.

SickwithIt1010 10-14-2011 02:47 PM

5 Trades that should happen, but probably wont:

Quote:

• Cincinnati trades QB Carson Palmer to the Seahawks for second- and fourth-round picks: This would be a smart deal for Bengals president Mike Brown. He would get back the same price that the Redskins once paid for Donovan McNabb and be able to better support Palmer's successor, Andy Dalton, Cincinnati's quarterback of the future.

• Denver trades LB D.J. Williams and safety Brian Dawkins to the Eagles for a third-round pick: For simply one of the surplus of picks that they already have, the Eagles could get two players they need: the type of linebacker their defense lacks and the type of leader they should not have let go.

• Philadelphia trades CB Asante Samuel to the Lions for a second-round pick: Few teams are as demanding in trade talks as the Eagles, but the day is going to come when they trade Samuel. And the Lions could use another premier cornerback to help battle the Packers in the regular season and, quite possibly, in the postseason.

• Kansas City trades WR Dwayne Bowe to the Titans for second- and fifth-round picks: Kansas City invested a first-round pick in wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin and millions in free-agent wide receiver Steve Breaston. The Titans could use a replacement for Kenny Britt, along with some insurance in the event he encounters more legal issues.

• Denver trades Kyle Orton to Miami for a fifth-round pick: It's not too late for the trade that should have been made in August. Miami could modify the $27 million extension it had on the table for Orton in August and use him as the bridge for the quarterback it drafts. Denver would get back something for a player who can walk away after this season, and in turn, open the job for fan favorite Tim Tebow.

The Bowe one seems random as hell.

MetSox17 10-14-2011 03:22 PM

No team is going to trade for a QB mid-season.

Complex 10-14-2011 03:29 PM

Britt and Bowe, I could live with that.

bearsfan_51 10-14-2011 03:40 PM

A 2nd and a 4th for Palmer is hilarious. He's maybe worth a 4th. It's not 2005 anymore. I realize nobody actually watches the Bengals, but still.

njx9 10-14-2011 04:04 PM

a starting lb and the only leader on the entire team for a 3rd? wth?

i could live with losing orton for a 5th. at least then we wouldn't have a second stringer as captain.

vidae 10-14-2011 04:13 PM

We're not giving up Bowe for a 2nd and 5th when Marshall got 2 2nds. We're not getting rid of Bowe anyway, but definitely not for that.
