Actually, moving Brandon Marshall makes more sense than Bowe. Rebuilding team. Massive contract. Insane player. Makes sense.

This isn't looking like a re-signable acquisition, if the Titans trade for a WR (unless it's for a #2 WR, like Lloyd would eventually be). And Bowe is in his last year. Britt is going to require a massive contract, and I'm not sure the Titans would give Bowe a competitive contract and then a year later give Britt one that'll likely have to be bigger. And if it's a rental, you don't mortgage the future for an 11-game stretch.

Schefter needs to stick to Twitter.

DoughBoy 10-14-2011 08:37 PM

Didn't Bowe slam the Tits organisation when he came out for the draft? **** him.

Pat Sims 90 10-14-2011 11:54 PM

I would laugh my ass off at any team willing to give up a 2nd for Palmer.

It's better than what Gil Brandt suggested on NFL.com.

Bengals send Palmer to Seahawks
Andy Dalton's development has made Carson Palmer more expendable. Palmer played for Pete Carroll at USC, so there's already a working relationship, and he would be able to help a team lacking a quarterback potentially win the NFC West.

In turn, Seattle would send receiver Doug Baldwin, the undrafted free agent who is off to a great start, and draft choices. The quality of the picks would be based on Palmer's performance over the next two years. I'm not talking about numbers here, I mean wins and losses. If Seattle makes the playoffs in either year and Palmer starts 50 percent of the games, Cincinnati could get a first rounder. If he doesn't start much, Seattle could potentially only give up a third-rounder.
I wouldn't give up Baldwin for Palmer straight up. That would be the worst trade since we gave up a 1st for Deion Branch.

Ness 10-16-2011 03:56 PM

Dang I wonder how many folks lost the Detroit/49ers pick.

It's stunning to me that people who do this for a living can be so incredibly naive.

Rarely is there a profession where the common person so obviously knows more than the "experts"

Raiders reach out to Garrard, Josh McCown

diabsoule 10-17-2011 01:54 PM

Mike Sims-Walker will be released by the Rams to make room for Brandon Lloyd. The Pats and Bills reportedly have interest in him if that happens.

Also, the Pats are actively shopping OchoCinco and if they can't find a willing trade partner will release him.

Da-Phins 10-17-2011 02:06 PM

Looks like no Garrard for the Raiders.

Take one name out of search for QB, David Garrard just called me and told me he needs immediate surgery on herniated disc in his back.

Garrard has been in a ton of pain for from training camp injury and MRI showed herniation of L4-L5. Says he wanted to be upfront w OAK
Makes more sense why he turned down the Dolphins now.

LTgiants 10-17-2011 02:10 PM

Was Sims Walker really that bad for the Rams?

What happened to him? Wasnt he pretty good for the Jags a couple years ago?

I thought he would be decent. Guess not.

TheMorningZoo 10-17-2011 02:56 PM

Can someone tell me why the Broncos are shopping DJ Williams? I know he is a solid player, but I haven't really followed his career?

If Sims-Walker goes to the Patriots look out! Not this year but I believe he is still a solid player, not sure what happened in St. Louis.

Palmer to the Seahawks makes sense, but he isn't worth a 2nd. 4th at the most like others have pointed out.

Seahawks should just start their saviour Charlie Whitehurst already.

Raiderz4Life 10-17-2011 03:02 PM

Just saw on ESPN that Lloyd is officially a Ram

MetSox17 10-17-2011 03:09 PM

LOL

Garrard needs surgery for a herniated disc.

It'd be worth a shot. We're pretty much starting Spiller on the outside, at this point.

diabsoule 10-17-2011 03:31 PM

Mike Sims-Walker has officially been released to make room for Brandon Lloyd.

I have no idea why DJ Williams is being shopped but if I'm the GM for the Saints I'm calling Denver now. Williams would be a great addition at WLB for New Orleans.

A Perfect Score 10-17-2011 03:47 PM

DJ Williams has rarely played the position he's supposed to in Denver. He's been moved in that LB core so many times, I feel for the poor guy. If he goes to a team that knows how to utilize him properly, you could see a bit of a rejuvenation there. He's far from a bad player, I've no idea why Denver would want to move him.

CC.SD 10-17-2011 03:50 PM

lol the Pats shopping OchoCinco is pretty great, amazing that it's a complete non-story.

Dang, Sims-Walker couldn't even last on the Rams receiving squad?

Rabscuttle 10-17-2011 05:39 PM

It would be nice to see DJ Williams get a chance on a team while he still has his legs. Broncos are spinning their wheels too much to waste the man's time.

He has a really good skill set. It would make sense for Jacksonville to bring him back. He probably still remembers the offense and would probably take league minimum at this point.

jrdrylie 10-18-2011 12:12 PM

Today Mike Sims-Walker tweeted "Duuuvvvvvaaaallllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!" For those of you not familiar with this term Duval=Duval County=Jacksonville. Looks like MSW will be a Jaguar again.
