He could just be reminding them to sign him.

No, it was a done deal. Beat writer reported it.

Ronnie Brown traded to the Lions

Eagles announce trade of RB Ronnie Brown to Detroit in exchange for RB Jerome Harrison and undisclosed 2013 draft pick
His career has went down hill ever since a few years ago. Whats up with the Eagles not even using him anymore? Was he that bad?

Interesting. 2nd year in a row we trade for Jerome Harrison, who was the more productive player for us anyway.

I like the trade. Now we just have to stop running out of the shotgun all the time.

I don't like it at all. Jahvid Best has been a stud for my money league team so far. Ronnie Brown coming into his backfield is not good news.

I don't know if Brown was given a fair shot in Philly. He looked like a very solid backup until he tried to pass the ball when going down for a loss at the goal line and ended up fumbling which probably costed them the game against San Fran. Don't think he's gotten a single carry since then.

Are concussions a fantasy stat now?

<ducks for cover>

Ronnie Brown helps the Lions a bit. At the very worst, he spells Best and helps in pass protection. At best, he'll be able to run between the tackles more effectively and adds a different dimension to that offense. The Lions run blocking is total garbage though. I've always been a fan of Brown's skillset though, he's a versatile player.

[Throws tomato]

...I need him alright. My team is 5-1 and I'm heading straight for the championship and a nice payoff, I can't have him getting all concussed on me now. I lost Sam Bradford to a high ankle sprain as well, I was really hoping he'd explode second half after a brutal early schedule. If I fall apart again this year I might never play fantasy football again.

Eh, he's not better than Maurice Morris or Keiland Williams. It's a pointless trade.

Ronnie Brown back to the Eagles because Harrison didn't pass his physical.

"ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Ryan Fitzpatrick is closing in on a long-term contract with the Bills that will be valued among the "second-tier" NFL quarterbacks."

Good for For Fitz ..

SuperMcGee 10-20-2011 10:21 PM

The terms will certainly be interesting. Just want us to turn our attention to Stevie as soon as we can.

"The proposed deal would pay Fitzpatrick between $9 million and $12 million annually."

RB is certainly not the same player but I'm not sure I can buy this. RB is much more versatile and talented then this guys even on his last legs.

That's a lot of coin, but if they believe in him so be it. I'm not sure he'd get that money on the free market or not, but probably. Kevin Kolb is making 11 mil per, although his guaranteed money was low.
