The Texans have signed Kellen Clemens which has taken them out of the Kyle Orton sweepstakes

Does it really though? I mean, it IS Kellen Clemens.

Tashard Choice signed to run where Spiller can't.

More like, trot around before fumbling once he gets clocked, where Spiller can't.

Brent 11-25-2011 12:44 AM

so, is Tashard Choice going for "most teams played for in a season"?

What happened to him? I saw him last year(?) for the 'Boys and he looked awesome. Breaking big gains and looking solid.
Now no one wants him... what's the deal?

Peter King is reporting that the Dolphins are going to release Sage Rosenfels and then he will sign with the Texans.

Didn't that already happen like 5 years ago?

diabsoule 11-28-2011 09:03 PM

Per Jason LaConfora: The Houston Texans will work out Jake Delhomme

Scapegoated? He barely played. He wasn't released because of one false start penalty, he was released because he couldn't see the field.

I thought you of all people knew better than to trust anything PFT wrote.

Most backup tackles don't see the field.

So how could he be scapegoated? He was brought in here with the understanding that if his back held up he'd compete for a job. I guess they don't think he can play anymore with that injury.

I don't get where "scapegoated" comes in here.

He played one play and had a penalty on it. He probably had to be on thin ice anyway to be cut for just that, but does he get cut if he didn't play at all?

It's just really odd timing.

Does he get cut if he doesn't play? Sure. They really liked Mims coming out and he does pass the eye test. I think it might of had more to do with Barry Richardson being an absolute waste of space and them wanting a RT right now rather than scapegoating Gaither.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Richardson benched the rest of the year with Mims starting in his place. Maybe they felt like Gaither couldn't start there the rest of the year.

T-RICH49 11-29-2011 01:06 PM

of all the OT's we cut it's NOT Richardson?does he have pics of Pioli and Haley or something?

diabsoule 11-29-2011 03:42 PM

Per Adam Schefter, QB Jake Delhomme reached agreement with the Houston Texans.

BeerBaron 11-29-2011 03:43 PM

I'd have given Culpepper a call personally.

Brodeur 11-29-2011 03:44 PM

Culpepper ******* sucks. Drew Stanton outplayed him significantly as a Lions QB for ***** sake.

Culpepper is worse, so I think Ryan Perriloux is a free agent.

Pay Rhett Bhomar's way out of jail while they're at it.

Brodeur 11-29-2011 04:10 PM

Has Jason Whitlock wrote an article on why they should sign Jeff George yet? This requires someone to actually read Whitlock and I have no intention on doing so, so if someone could let me know...

MetSox17 11-29-2011 04:16 PM

Where's David Carr these days?
