I think he will. I kinda like this signing.

Robert Gallary signs with the Patriots. Also, Landry to the Jets is official.

I_C_DeadPeople 03-19-2012 02:11 PM

Pats have to be cutting Ocho.

Really...now that's interesting. I guess they weren't quite as set as the fans here seemed to believe in the o-line thread.

Maybe the Pats know something about Marcus Cannon's condition?

RaiderNation 03-19-2012 02:13 PM

The Patriots just love former Raider players lol

Well, the last one they took off the scrap heap ended up breaking records so....why not?

They've said that Cannon is a tackle going forward so we have/had a hole at RG. Problem solved. :) Lots of options in the draft now. No way to tell what BB is thinking right now in terms of scheme or players. I love it.

Hines 03-19-2012 02:16 PM

Landry got 4 million from the Jets. Only a 1 year deal.

That's always a convenient argument winner. Sometimes I wonder if even he actually knows what he's doing or if he just became so bored with the NFL after winning those Superbowls that he just decides to "wing it" every year for a challenge. "I'm....gonna trade for Randy Moss." "I think....I'll run a 4-3 this year."

Two of the three super bowl wins were actually won running the 4-3 fwiw. I think BB wants players that fits the system and the culture first and foremost when making moves in FA. I don't think he looks at need first tbh. He finds loads of experienced, talented players for depth purposes and in some cases to start. I think he matches value with need in the draft after assessing what transpired during FA. I think he has a plan, but BB works in mysterious ways lol.

Bengals78 03-19-2012 02:21 PM

Good deal for the Jets. I would have taken him for 1 yr/4million.

i mean, we *know* he's thinking about how he can turn those first round picks into seventh round picks and more first round picks to trade away next year...

Alex Smith still talking to the Dolphins. Maybe we get Kapernick in San Fran afterall?

I think he's just rubbing the 9ers nose in it a little. He is not going to leave San Fran for Miami.

I'm alright with Gallery as a backup for Brian Waters although his level of production probably could have been had for cheaper in the draft.

Splat 03-19-2012 03:42 PM

Who are some FB's out there in FA?

Well the dream situation starting this year was Solder Mankins Center Cannon Vollmer going forward. Except Vollmer showed no ability to stay healthy and he is getting near contract time. Now we can try out Solder and Cannon and tackle and have Gallery at RG.

Tebow's available for trade.

Ness 03-19-2012 04:35 PM

I heard Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker are upset with the Titans pursuit of Peyton Manning and that Hasselbeck may demand a trade. Is this true?

If it is true, who cares. Locker should start next year week one.

You think Hasselbeck is on his way out?
