I disagree with you fully.
1) The best young QB in the game, teaming up with Roddy White = The most dangerous QB/WR combo in the NFL.
2) Did I mention the addition of Julio Jones? Did we forget about how much of a monster this man is? ATLs passing game has only gotten stronger.
3) The pass rush. Only 31 sacks last year, and that number will be at least 40 next year with the addition of Ray Edwards. Not only him, Kroy Biermann played very well last year and has crazy potential.
you're wrong.. The Falcons will win at least 11 games next year.

We talkin bout the rookie Julio Jones? The one who has yet to play a down in the NFL Julio Jones? The Julio Jones who plays the WR position that usually takes about 3yrs to finally breakout? That Julio Jones???

Let's hope it's Cullen Jenkins. Right now we're looking at Haynesworth (:puke:) at one DE and . . . um . . . er . . . who else at DE?

Warren is probably a future Cowboy, if his hip checks out.

The Patriots didn't really save very much money by cutting Ty Warren, aside from being able to move some dead money from 2011 into 2012. I would speculate that he's either healthy and will soon be re-signing with New England on a cheaper contract, or that he was released because his hip didn't check out.

RaiderNation 07-29-2011 02:29 PM

The longer Nnamdi is making up his mind, the better chance I think we could remain in Oakland. He has said he wants to stay a Raider but it's in Al Davis' court now

Austin Collie as a rookie with Manning? 60 catches, 600+ yards, 7 TDs.
Santonio Holmes as a rookie? Over 800 receving yards.
What about Dwayne Bowe as a rookie? Oh just 70 catches for 995 yards.
Even Jeremy Maclin as a rookie did work. 56 catches, 773 yards.
You're wrong, being a rookie doesn't matter at all.
Julio Jones is just as good of a prospect as all the guys I listed AND he's blessed with a fantastic passing offense led by an elite QB.

Saints-Tigers 07-29-2011 02:36 PM

Matt Ryan isn't elite, unless you are really stretching the meaning of the word.

Ness 07-29-2011 02:38 PM

The Falcons should be fine as long as Ryan stays healthy. At least hover around 10-6. If Turner gets hurt or their run game really falters then I could see them falling apart, but as of now I'd have them billed at least as a wildcard. Wouldn't be surprised if they won the division again though.

SolidGold 07-29-2011 02:39 PM

Stewart Bradley will sign with the Cardinals

1. No, it's not the most dangerous combo in the NFL. And no, he's not the best young qb in the NFL. Matt Ryan is a good qb, but he's overrated. Wake me up when he plays well in the playoffs. I expect him to 1 day, but so far, it hasn't happened yet. He's hailed as the next Peyton Manning when he's not anywhere close to that. He's a good qb. But he's not a great one. Not yet.

2. You mean the rookie who hasn't proven anything yet? That Julio Jones? The one who is already behind the ball bc of no OTAs and mini camps? Temper expectations. Julio isn't going to walk into the NFL and get 1000 yards and 8 TDs.

3. And the pass rush is still going to suck. Abraham isn't getting any younger and Edwards is an average pass rusher. Korey doesn't have crazy potential.

The Falcons in my opinion were one of the most overrated 1 seeds we've seen in many years. They were not that great of a team last year. I said it throughout the season and I stand by it. They are poised to lose 2 starting olinemen this year, they still lack pass rushers, they still lack a great secondary, and they have never made the playoffs 2 years in a row.

They caught a lot of lucky breaks last year and stayed relatively healthy. Some times teams overachieve, and the 2010 Falcons are the blueprint of that.

Both the Bucs and Saints have significantly improved their rosters in comparison to the Falcons this year. And I highly doubt all those lucky bounces happen two years in a row.

The Falcons are going 7-9. You can take that to the bank. And if I'm wrong, feel free to quote me on this post, and mock me for it later. I will gladly eat crow, but I'm not changing my opinion on this one.

I got the Falcons at 7-9 and I'm sticking to it.

4 Jets players redo their contracts.

Gay Ork Wang 07-29-2011 02:48 PM

yea i also think the Falcons are in for a bad awakening. I also just have a feeling that the Panthers will do good. I mean seriously who wouldve thought the Bucs would do anything last year?

Unbiased 07-29-2011 02:55 PM

Jaguars have an agreement in place with S Dawan Landry.

Interested to see if they sign a FS like Goldson or Pool.

What a sweet division. I like all 4 of those teams.

Hurricanes25 07-29-2011 02:56 PM

Lombardi just said that the Jets have redone the contracts of Brandon Moore, Bart Scott, Tomlinson, and Calvin Pace.

Complex 07-29-2011 03:00 PM

The Rams need to sign a WR for Sam Bradford.

And Cowboys inked Marcus Spears. Looks like Aso to Jets...
