Dates to watch -4th and final edit Monday night: The NFL will release a complete list of the free agents for the 2011 season. Tuesday: At 10 a.m., team facilities will open and trades can begin. Teams can begin signing their own drafted rookies and other undrafted free agents. They can also negotiate with other teams’ free agents — however, they can’t sign those players yet. Wednesday-Sunday: Training camp opens for all teams. (The Patriots will hold their conditioning work on Wednesday, and open camp to the media and the public on Thursday.) The opening of training camps across the league is as follows: •Camp opens Wednesday for Arizona, Baltimore, Dallas, Denver, Jacksonville, Patriots, Oakland, Philadelphia, San Diego and Seattle. •Camp opens Thursday for Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Kansas City, Miami, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Tampa Bay and Washington. •Camp opens Friday for Buffalo, Carolina, Chicago, Cleveland, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Minnesota, New York Giants, St. Louis and Tennessee. •Camp opens Sunday for Houston and New York Jets. Friday: Starting at 6 p.m., teams can sign other teams’ free agents — the start of full free agency. |

With all that cap space, it makes me wonder if the Bengals will be a surprise landing spot for a big name free agent or two. Maybe a big name RB and/or top O-lineman.
|
Keep in mind those figures don't take into account draft picks (and UDFAs) signing OR restricted free agents (or, I assume, franchised players).

Interesting thing is there is a cap floor. Tampa is going to have to almost sign another team. With their depth just about everywhere I can see them picking up one or two players for good money and extending a lot of their young players who're already producing beyond their deals. See above, on the 23rd they can negotiate so it's likely the guys like Aso, Charles Johnson, Peyton Manning will be getting their balls tickled all day on the 23rd allowing their teams a full 4 days to consider whether or not they want to match or beat offers from other teams (should their players disclose details).
imo, we'll see some guys no longer available by the 27th, anyone who hasn't been signed by that day I'd assume won't be returning to their respective former teams. |
With all the Money the Bengals have to spend they better keep Joseph now or i am going to be pissed.

DeAngelo probably won't leave, see my post in the news, Jerry Richardson has openly been telling everyone fans, reporters everyone that the Panthers are going to be really aggressive. Santonio is a merc he'll go to the highest bidder imo. |

Here's a really interesting interview done with sports agent Ron Del Duca. He discusses some things that I hadn't even thought about regarding this upcoming Free Agency.
Here's a few highlights... * All the agents have technically been decertified as well. * Alot of puffery. * Anybody can represent anyone at any price. * There are no rules and regulations. * People could potentially give "value" to players for being represented by them. * There's already been alot of movement between agents and players. The bulk of the FA talk begins at 4:47. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2011/...nhall-lawsuit/ |

Just because the Panthers are going to go hard after him doesn't mean he has to sign with you guys. It's not like it's the Panthers decision here. Somebody else is going to offer just as much as Carolina if not more. |
even after signing Peppers we still have 37 Million? Lets get a ******* OLINE
|
Tampa are 60 mil under :\
|
|
Just learned that by cutting Vince Young, Justin Gage and Chris Hope's contracts... the Titans will be about 30 million under the new CBA.
|
The big winners in this are teams that already pretty much have a whole team that will just be upgrading certain spots and signing current players to extensions. The Chiefs will end up looking really good once free agency hits.

Bears are $37 Million under? Resign Danieal Manning, grab one of the top guards, and then go after either Sidney Rice or a corner.
