Small but very strong and fast back. Catches the ball extremely well out of the backfield. Played on juco national title team at Blinn College with Cam Newton. Part of Houston's three headed monster at running back (seniors Hayes and Beall, Soph Charles Sims).

I think he will be a nice change of pace back in the NFL, I am thinking late round selection (5-7), thoughts?

Watched Hayes today against Tulsa, reminds me a lot of Darren Sproles.

I saw his highlight tape at Blinn a couple years ago, and I liked it. Dude beasted at Blinn. He almost ended up at USF, but ended up at Houston and I'm glad it worked out for him.

Crazy watching that video with Hayes and Cam Newton in the backfield together. Pretty sick JUCO national title team right there.

Hayes is squatty, probably about 5'8 but a solid 200+ pounds. He is a cut and go guy that catches the ball well out of the backfield. Very well built and very fast. Size and system at Houston will be concerns, with the multiple backs the Cougars use Hayes doesn't have a ton of wear on him. He plays physical, isnt afraid to lower his head and does a good job of keeping his lower body working.

I think he will be a FA signing that will surprise. Running a 4.4 and impressing at pro day he maybe is a very late selection.
