Best Route Runners in this Year's Draft?
 

Watching Chad Ochocinco struggle to pick up the Patriots offense made me think that maybe the Patriots would prefer a receiver that is a smart and polished route runner. What receivers fit the bill for this years draft?

I was watching some tape of Wisconsin's Russell Wilson the other night, and Nick Toon really pops out at you. Makes nice plays on the ball in the air, and he's big. He's exactly the kind of receiver the Pats need, physically speaking. It was hard to assess how well he runs routes from what I was watching, so I can't really comment on that.

I think Mohammed Sanu will be a solid route runner but the question with him is how fast he is.

TY Hilton and AJ Jenkins.

The more I watch of both of these guys the more I'm convinced that they will be studs at the next level.

He'll test faster than everyone thinks.

Seems like Sanu body catches a lot. That would be my #1 concern with him.

I could definitely see Sanu running in the 4.50 range. The main question with him is drops; he seems to drop a pass in every game I watch.

Yeah he does drop a catch every other game but he makes up for it with some of the craziest catches you'll see also. He had my jaw dropped about 5 or 6 times this year.

AJ Jenkins, Jarius Wright come to mind. Broyles was definitely up there before his injury.
