Why can't they just use the position abbreviations we are all used to? "WO?" C'mon man...

And what the hell is a "DC?" I'm assuming CB...so why can't they just say CB?

scottyboy 01-10-2012 09:33 AM

Desmond Wynn! yay!

Justin Francis also, but he's on the West roster.

DiG 01-10-2012 09:51 AM

some nice ol prospects on those rosters ryan miller, matt reynolds, brandon brooks

Grizzlegom 01-10-2012 11:08 AM

Nick Sukay listed at LB, interesting. Was originally a LB recruit, probably too slow to legitimately play S in the NFL anyway.

ben heenan, og, saskatchewan. huge kid pretty athletic. grew up playing against him in hockey and football. excited to see how he performs in the shrine game. will be the #1 pick in the CFL draft most likely (but thats way irrelevant)

Hines 01-10-2012 11:18 AM

Is this game on TV?

BeerBaron 01-10-2012 11:25 AM

Really? Well that's annoying. In a country so obsessed with football, I'm quite surprised that no network wants to cover this.

This is why I shouldn't do two things at once. I was talking NFLPA Game on twitter (which hasn't been on TV)

Shrine Game is, it will be on the NFL Network. 4 PM, Saturday the 21st

Sorry BB.

For me that's...actually not any better, lol.

Sukay was recruited mostly as a safety, though some looked at him as a WR.

Brent 01-10-2012 06:48 PM

Ryan Lindley? Guess he isn't going to the Senior Bowl...

Matthew Jones 01-10-2012 06:57 PM

Nice to see Moe Petrus is on the roster.

It'lll be nice to see if Brandon Lindsey impresses. Todd Graham's defense had Lindsey rushing from 3-man front much of the season. The majority of the pass rush came from smaller LB/S hybrids like Todd Thomas.

What I saw was that Graham didn't want Lindsey in coverage AT ALL. Not sure if that means that he can't, or that he wasn't given opportunity.

Not having Jabaal Sheard opposite him really hurt production. That being said, Graham probably would've had Sheard sitting the bench or playing out of position, just as Lindsey did.

WOW , really John Brantley made the team. Guess he is gonna try and improve his draft stock and a bad injury season. Started off great tho. Such a sad season for him .

Buzz today is about a lot of the small school guys actually, I'll be interested to see how the week goes.

Tauren Poole also looking good by most accords

Grizzlegom 01-17-2012 08:26 AM

Amazing how different people see things, the nature of scouting. I've read that Dan Persa, BJ Coleman, and Chandler Harnish have all looked like the best QB there from different sources. The Cunningham and Jenkins were both impressive and disappointing. Always have to be sure to read a lot of opinions as there always seem to be consensus opinions and those are the players you really want to bump.

By all accounts, Fresno State WR Devon Wylie, Tennessee Tech WR Tim Benford, Coastal Carolina CB Josh Norman, and Miami (OH) OG Brandon Brooks were all big-time day 1 winners.

Tauren Poole is terrible.

CashmoneyDrew 01-17-2012 11:02 AM

Tauren Poole is the worst running back ever. Not an exaggeration.

Giantsfan1080 01-17-2012 01:25 PM

Des Wynn hass been killing it in practice so far from what I've read. It sounds like he's probably making himself some money.

SolidGold 01-17-2012 01:49 PM

Coleman is intriguing to me...I don't know much about him but from what I have read he looks the part and has a rocket arm. Interesting developmental guy I suppose...should be an interesting one to watch.
