All Conference: PACMAC
Pac 12
It was a close call between the pac12 and the ACC for the #1 seed and they will be looking to prove themselves. There isn't a weak spot on this squad but arguably the most shining point is the LB Corps. Their might not be a better rushing duo than CMIII and T-Sizzle. Follow that up with Cushing and the underrated Barnett and you have arugably the best LB corps in this class. The unit in front of them has no slouches either. running a 3-4 with a front of Ngata - Pouha - Soliai is quite the wall of man meat. The number of double-teams needed to block this front seven should leave only the QB not blocking. The secondary is just as solid and while TP has been exposed recently in coverage, the chaos that will be caused by the front 7 and the skill of the rest of the secondary should allow him to roam and do what he does best. The OL is should be able to give the skilled Aaron Rodgers time to get the ball out to the speedy duo at WR as well as open holes for the terrifying MJD. MAC Not a bad group considering the conference, severe underdogs in this match up though. Certainly an impressive pass rush but lacking in the secondary. The skill position players would likely put up a fight against most teams but the Pac 12 D might just be too overpowering |
I'm aware that some of these earlier match ups are fairly easy decisions but I am hoping that the 2nd round won't be so lopsided.
Also, it's always still interesting to see a conference like the MAC put up a pretty interesting team. Maybe after the fact I'll do a losers bracket for those who go out in the first round, the match ups might even be more interesting than the dominant teams. |
I think the PAC 12 is the best overall so they take it.

Cruz threw me off for a second. Never actually played in the MAC, but alright. Antonio Brown would also be good, especially since you only have 10 players on offense. And if only Starks could stay healthy :(

Pac 12 easily here.
I thought their offense was good until I seen that defense. Studs all over that defense, although it's got to be a 34 they run. The offensive line is very solid and they have serious speed at WR and Gronk at TE. MJD will also get his touches. The MAC have a nice front 4 on defense but nothing on the back end. Offensively they would get overrun by the Pac 12 defense and both Turner and Gates are passed it IMO |
Offense is close, but the PAC12 dominates on D. That front 7 is scary and then you add a Secondary like that and you won't score.

Rodgers would shred that DB group, badly.

Really like the Pac 12 team, should be interesting later on.

I might try and run a losers bracket when all this is done with the losers from this round and another with the two losers from the second round. Might produce some interesting match ups |
I voted for the MAC, because I went to a MAC school and I'm being a homer.
Also, I think Jason Jones (Eastern Michigan) needs to be on the MAC roster. |
Team Gronk

![]() The Pac flex their muscles and rip the MAC a new one. The smack down that the D laid on the MAC offense is too violent for words. Rodgers had to run from Harrison early but after a questionable hit, Harrison was ejected and Rodgers was then able to remain untouched. The speedy WR duo ran circles around the weak Mac secondary In the end, the Refs ended the game early to avoid more MAC offensive players being carted off the field |
