Tim Tebow - Fullback
NFL.com today reporting he's finally lining up at running back. Now what? There were plenty of defensive players saying he was a "great running back" as a way of deriding his throwing ability last year - what do we expect now that that's what might be happening?
The guys' 250 lbs, has great agility and strength, and is going to be used all over the place. I, for one, think it's going to be an awful lot of fun to see what they do with him. Don't care whether or not he's the "starting quarterback," which seems like it's just something for talking heads to jizz about anyways. It's a team sport and he's a unique player. |
I can already tell I hate this thread.
|
His fantasy value just went way up and Greene's went down.
|
I think Tebow should still be developed as a QB but I don't blame Elway for pulling the trigger.

Well he can't pass for **** so yeah this was probably a better idea.
|
The sad part is he outpassed Sanchez today.

he could get 20 TDs this year if they use him like that

Tebow will start QB at some point for the Jets this season.
|
I think Tebow could be a pro bowl RB/FB in the NFL, but I'm still on board the QB experiment.

According to ESPN New York, Mark Sanchez largely struggled during the Jets' final minicamp before training camp.
Per beat writer Rich Cimini, Sanchez "didn't have an efficient minicamp" and "there were times when he didn't seem comfortable throwing the football." Cimini kept a play log of the minicamp, and Sanchez finished 11-of-29 with three "near" interceptions and four would-be sacks absorbed. Sanchez isn't yet in danger of losing his starting job, but it could happen early in the season. Source: ESPN New York Jun 15 - 3:32 PM |
I am pissed that this thread exists. I really don't like Tim Tebow.
|
I would rather hear about Tebow, then have one more god damn jets fan or IAC try to tell me that Sanchez is ready to break out or can be a good QB. At least people know Tebow is generally a terrible QB who makes a few plays here and there after being bailed out by the defense.

I just don't know.
I don't think he is a starter at any position (QB, RB, FB, H-back, placeholder, you name it). He is, and always will be a situational utility player. He has really good physical tools, but not good enough for him to come in and outperform veterans who have been palying their positions for many years. |
This thread is all lies. He will play QB for the Jets soon ...

Sanchez having a bad minicamp is nearly irrelevant at this point IMO. Essentially whatever happens right now is simply fodder for the media to salivate over. To me it really seems that their reaching pretty hard to make a story out of nothing. If he struggles in TC maybe its worth a bit of talk but even then its really difficult to gauge how a player is doing because offenses are working on certain things and defenses are working on certain things that may or may not actually coincide with one another. I know from the many years I played(not in the NFL mind you) that O coaches would repeatedly say that we were working on plays to beat our opponent's Defenses, not ours.
