There SHOULD be, but some people are ******* ******** and choose not to play with a jungle. Without a jungle, you have no ganks, and almost always lose unless top has a roamer (Sometimes, you can play a character with great ganks as a #2 top and if the other solo top feeds, then you are free to gank).

That said, every single ranked game should feature a jungler, IMO. It might be the most important position on the field.

k. dota gives you the option. You can jungle someone, you can double jungle, you can lane everyone or you can trilane. So many options!

You can do this in league as well.

Sure sounded like that not having a jungle especially in competetive games, ***** you up a lot.

No team ever has double jungled and been successful. You can counter-jungle, which can be wildly effective if you're the right character (Riven, Olaf, etc) but there should be no double jungling in LoL, ever, whereas I remember it being an acceptable meta in DOTA.

Thank god this was made finally... no offense guys but you were hogging the PC thread.

Anyway I am contemplating getting into this game. Whats the learning curve?

It takes about 800 games (assuming 50% win percentage, 400 games won) to start to understand the game fully. It's pretty easy to get into, but the little things like knowing when to engage, when to team fight, that all comes with experience.

I picked it up faster then that, personally. Even though my current ELO sits at about 1100 (I bombed my placement games), I operate at about 1400 ELO and that only took me about...500 games? Probably?

depends on your willingness to learn, affinity for games and experience with mobas

I totally forgot Fizz. I own Tundra Fizz and can absolutely take names with him mid if left to my own devices. One of the best assassins in the game.

Watching pros play helps a lot when it comes to gaining skill too. I watch more streams than tv at this point with the lack of sports on.

Watching the LoL Spectate Live's can show you a lot about what not to do as well.

I think I am going to give it a go tomorrow. Any tips?

Depends on what your gaming style is, really.

There's always a group of free champs every week.

However, you can get a couple free permanent champs, though. Tristana through facebook and Alistar through YouTube. Both are very good at all levels of competition (both are also completely different playstyles).

I am installing now. I will add you guys as friends when I get on.
