I've heard of it. Sounds epic. Can I get some links or something so I can get down as well?

Do I need a bad ass computer to play or will a pretty good one from Best Buy suffice?

I have a family dinner tomorrow but I should be down to play starting Monday at the latest.

Do you have Steam? It's easiest to buy from there. Arma 2: Combined Operations. It has the original game and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. Both are needed to play the game. It's $17.99 right now so that is a pretty good deal. The DayZ mod is free.

And you probably can play it on that machine but you'd have to turn settings down low. I've read a lot of people suggesting everyone turn settings on low anyway, so I don't think you'll be missing out on a lot.

I play on low settings. You don't miss anything of importance.

I definitely thought by the title of this thread it about was about smoking pot.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the awesomeness of Days and Confused. I am clearly mistaken.

I've read playing on low can actually make spotting Z's/players much easier because it renders far less shrubbery/trees etc.

I just got a good amount of gear and a new bag... It was pretty damn nerve wracking. Their were 4 dead bodies on the beach feet away from one another.

I then found a couple buildings with some ammo but no gun yet :-/

Not that I know of, no. I'm pretty sure you just need the Combined Operations pack. DayZ is downloaded somewhere else.

Getting something called Day Z commander after you get the game and the mod will pretty much idiot proof!

That is pretty much the only reason I can play.

Haha I want to play so bad but I have a 10-12 page paper to write for tomorrow. Sigh.
